Kyler Murray Returns to Practice on Wednesday
Kyler Murray (foot), who missed last week's loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, returned to practice on Wednesday and was limited, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Although it's good news that the 28-year-old signal-caller is on the practice field, he's dealing with a mid-foot sprain and is not a lock to return in Week 7 against the visiting Green Bay Packers. Veteran Jacoby Brissett's strong performance in Murray's absence last Sunday could also lead the Cardinals to play it safe with Murray this week and hold him out again as a precaution. It sounds like Arizona has no plans to rush Murray back into action, so fantasy managers need to have a backup plan in place in case he misses a second straight start. Through five games played, Murray has been a disappointment as a QB1 option in fantasy, ranking 24th among all QBs with an average of 19.1 fantasy points per game.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Still in the Concussion Protocol
Marvin Harrison Jr. (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol, according to Dani Sureck of AZCardinals.com. It means that Harrison will almost certainly miss Wednesday's practice, which will be a closed walk-through session. The 23-year-old second-year wideout suffered a concussion on Sunday in the Week 6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, putting his status up in the air for this weekend's tilt against the visiting Green Bay Packers. Harrison will need to get back on the practice field first, but then he'll need clearance from an independent neurologist later in the week in order to be able to play on Sunday. We'll continue to monitor his status closely throughout the week. With quarterback Kyler Murray (foot) potentially missing a second straight game, Arizona's offense would lose their best receiver if Harrison cannot play. Harrison's head injury makes Zay Jones intriguing as a waiver-wire pickup this week for WR depth. Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch would also be upgraded if Harrison cannot play in Week 7.

Cardinals "Tailored Scheme" for Jacoby Brissett in Week 6
Jacoby Brissett led the offense to their most productive game of the season in their Week 6 loss at Indianapolis. Brissett completed 27 of 44 passes for 320 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. The 320 passing yards and 400 total yards were both season highs for Arizona. When asked why the offense looked so different against the Colts, Gannon said they "tailored the scheme a little bit" during the week in case Brissett ended up starting. The coaching staff made a few adjustments to their base offense to help Brissett feel more comfortable, and the results were encouraging. With Kyler Murray still dealing with a mid-foot sprain, we may see Brissett make a few starts. He could make for a solid add in superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

Zay Jones in Line for Playing Time Spike in Arizona?
Zay Jones had by far his most productive game of the season in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts, recording five catches for 79 yards on eight targets. Jones had hauled in just five catches for 37 yards on seven targets across four games heading into Week 6. The 30-year-old's production against Indianapolis was buoyed by the absence of Marvin Harrison Jr. (concussion), who exited Week 6 early due to a concussion. With Harrison Jr.'s status for Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers in question, Jones could once again be called upon to play a larger role in his team's offense. Pending Harrison Jr.'s availability, Jones could be a deep-league waiver wire option as a short-term fill-in at the wide receiver position.

Kyler Murray Will be the Starting QB When he's Healthy
Jacoby Brissett's strong performance in the Week 6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. When asked if Kyler Murray (foot) is still the starter under center when he's healthy, Gannon said, "Yeah." "He's the starting quarterback," Gannon confirmed. Brissett threw for 320 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception on Sunday. The last time that Murray went for over 300 yards passing in a game was in late October of 2022. Although it was just a one-game sample size for Brissett, he looked better than Murray has in his five starts in 2025. The Cardinals organization continues to stand behind Murray as the starting QB, but Brissett's impressive composure in his first start of the year on Sunday could afford the team more patience in bringing Murray back from his foot injury.

Bam Knight Sees 11 Carries and Finds Pay Dirt in Week 6
Bam Knight was bumped up to the top of the Cardinals' depth chart at running back, and he responded with 34 yards on 11 carries and scored a one-yard touchdown in the Cardinals' 31-27 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Knight also contributed through the air, hauling in one of his two targets for a 20-yard reception. Meanwhile, Michael Carter had a very similar line, rushing for 34 yards on 11 carries and had two receptions for 30 yards. Emari Demercado was barely involved, seeing only one carry on the afternoon. All of this to say, it appears that the Cardinals have no interest in giving Carter the full reins of this backfield, and moving forward, both Knight and Carter will provide RB3 value, and fantasy managers should expect them both to see 10-15 touches per game. The Cardinals have a tough matchup coming up against the Green Bay Packers before their Week 8 bye. Fantasy managers beware, Trey Benson (knee) is eligible to return in Week 10 and will likely become the lead back once he returns.

Trey McBride Very Productive While Working With Backup QB
Kyler Murray (foot) was unable to play in the Week 6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, but tight end Trey McBride was still able to put up numbers while working with veteran backup Jacoby Brissett. McBride finished with eight catches on 11 targets for 72 yards and his second touchdown of the year in the 31-27 loss. He was second on the team in receiving yards on the day, but his 11 targets and eight receptions led the Cardinals in a near-upset victory on the road. The 25-year-old's eight grabs and 72 receiving yards were both season highs, giving you an idea of how much Arizona's offense has struggled in the first five weeks of the season. It's possible that Murray won't be able to play in Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers, either, but McBride might not skip a beat given the chemistry he showed with Brissett this weekend.

Jacoby Brissett Tops 300 Passing Yards in First Start of 2025
Jacoby Brissett did an admirable job filling in for the injured Kyler Murray (foot) in his team's 31-27 Week 6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Brissett completed 27 of 44 pass attempts for 320 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The 32-year-old also rushed three times for 19 yards. With Murray currently battling a mid-foot sprain, there's a chance Brissett could have an extended runway as the starter in Arizona. Brissett started five games for the New England Patriots in 2024, completing 59% of his passes for 826 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. If he is forced into action once again, Brissett has a tough matchup in Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers. Still, he could be a valuable pickup for fantasy managers in two-quarterback formats.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Ruled Out for Remainder of Week 6 Due to Concussion
Marvin Harrison Jr. (concussion) has officially been ruled out for the remainder of his team's Week 6 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts due to a concussion, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Harrison Jr. recorded two catches for 32 yards on two targets before leaving the game. With Harrison Jr. sidelined, Cardinals wideouts Michael Wilson, Zay Jones, and Greg Dortch will all likely see an uptick in both playing time and target share. Arizona tight end Trey McBride could see a few extra targets go his way as well.

Emari Demercado Questionable to Return in Week 6 Due to Ankle Injury
Emari Demercado (ankle) is questionable to return to his team's Week 6 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Demercado had just one carry for one yard before getting injured. Even before he got hurt, it appeared that Demercado may have been behind both Michael Carter and Bam Knight in the pecking order for backfield touches in Arizona. If Demercado is unable to return, Carter and Knight would likely see all of the remaining backfield work in Week 6.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Being Evaluated for a Concussion
Marvin Harrison Jr. (head) has been taken to the locker room after being checked out in the blue medical tent during the first half of his team's Week 6 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Harrison appeared to have possibly suffered a head injury, and now he's officially being checked for a concussion after heading into the locker room at Lucas Oil Stadium. Harrison recorded two catches for 32 yards on two targets before getting injured. If he is unable to return in Week 6, Cardinals wideouts Michael Wilson, Zay Jones, and Greg Dortch are all candidates to see an uptick in both playing time and targets.

Michael Wilson Questionable To Return in Week 6
Michael Wilson (finger) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. The Cards already are beaten up on offense, as the team is playing without running backs James Conner (foot), Trey Benson (knee), and quarterback Kyler Murray (foot) in the game. If Wilson is unable to return, Arizona likely will turn to Greg Dortch and Zay Jones to work behind top receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

Michael Carter Won't Lead the Cardinals Backfield in Week 6?
Michael Carter is not expected to lead the team's backfield during Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Instead, Bam Knight will handle lead-back duties for Arizona. The Cardinals have been experimenting with personnel after losing James Conner (foot) and Trey Benson (knee). Third-string running back Emari Demercado has remained in a third-down role, and it was Carter who led the unit with 18 carries last Sunday. However, he was relatively inefficient with just 2.8 yards per carry, which could be the reason why he's now in the backup role and Knight is getting an opportunity to lead the way. Knight, who had four rushes for 11 yards and a touchdown last week, hasn't started an NFL game since his rookie campaign with the New York Jets in 2022. The Colts represent a tough matchup, so Carter's reduced volume takes him off the fantasy radar in most formats.

Zay Jones Suiting Up Against Colts Sunday
Zay Jones (knee) is officially active for Sunday's Week 6 contest against the Indianapolis Colts. He had been listed as questionable after practicing in a limited capacity. Jones, who will catch passes from Jacoby Brissett this week with Kyler Murray (foot) inactive, has played roughly half of the offensive snaps in all four of his games this season. As a result, we have a pretty clear expectation of what his role will look like against Indianapolis. With just five catches for 37 yards this season, Jones remains off the fantasy radar in all formats.

Kyler Murray Officially Inactive for Week 6
Kyler Murray (foot) is officially inactive for Sunday's Week 6 contest against the Indianapolis Colts. He had been listed as questionable after missing two practices and logging a limited session on Friday. Arizona left the door open for him to play, but there were plenty of reports on Saturday that indicated Murray was unlikely to suit up. Indeed, he is inactive on Sunday and will temporarily hand over the starting job to Jacoby Brissett. The veteran makes his first start of the season, as well as his first start as an Arizona Cardinal, and he'll do so against one of his former teams. The 32-year-old is a solid passer with some mobility, so Cardinals fans and fantasy managers should feel optimistic that Brissett can keep the team competitive while supporting solid fantasy performances from players like Marvin Harrison Jr., Trey McBride, and Bam Knight.
