Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams (head) is expected to play in Saturday's SEC vs. Big Ten matchup against Wisconsin, according to ESPN's Mark Schlabach. The sophomore preseason All-American was injured in the Week 1 loss to Florida State after hitting his head on the turf and did not play in last week's blowout win over UL-Monroe. Williams impressed as a 17-year-old true freshman a year ago, catching 48 passes for 865 yards and eight touchdowns. In his 2025 debut, he was limited to just 30 yards and notably dropped three passes in the fourth quarter from quarterback Ty Simpson. Saturday's game will be an opportunity for Williams to bounce back and build on his electric freshman campaign, assuming he can suit up. He is viewed as a sure-fire future NFL first-round pick.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSeptember 11, 2025
Wisconsin quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. (knee) is unlikely to suit up for Saturday's matchup against Alabama, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. The senior transfer from Maryland suffered a knee sprain in last week's victory over Miami of Ohio and is being labeled as week-to-week. With Edwards facing long odds to play, Danny O'Neil is in line to start again for the Badgers. O'Neil has completed 35 of his 46 passing attempts for 403 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions in blowout wins over Miami of Ohio at Middle Tennessee State University. The San Diego State transfer entered the season as the backup to Edwards, but he'll now have a chance at shocking the college football world in Tuscaloosa this weekend.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSeptember 11, 2025
Tennessee offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. (shoulder) is officially questionable to face Georgia on Saturday due to a shoulder injury, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. The true freshman five-star recruit was forced to miss the games against Syracuse and East Tennessee State University, delaying the start to his highly anticipated collegiate career. In his absence, sophomore Shamurad Umarov has worked with the starting offensive line, while freshman Jesse Perry has worked at right tackle. On one hand, Sanders could provide a strong boost to Tennessee's offensive line and help protect quarterback Joey Aguilar. On the other hand, starting a career against Kirby Smart's Bulldog defense is a tall task. Tennessee is looking to snap an eight-game losing streak against Georgia when the two SEC rivals square off on Saturday in Knoxville.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerOur goal is to put out the highest-quality content and tools.
