Sam Burns Heads to FedEx St. Jude Championship In Excellent Form
Sam Burns finished third at The Open Championship last month and will now focus on preparing for the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. Burns has four straight top-20 finishes heading into the first round of the FedEx Cup playoffs. So far this season, he has 10 top-25 finishes and three missed cuts in 17 starts. Over the past 12 months, Burns ranks in the 80th percentile for greens in regulation on approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairway. This is worth noting because over 41% of approach shots at last year's FedEx St. Jude Championship came from this distance.
