Indiana's Lee Beebe Jr. Out for Season with Knee Injury
Indiana running back Lee Beebe Jr. (knee) suffered a non-contact knee injury and will miss the rest of the 2025 season, according to head coach Curt Cignetti. The junior ball carrier joined the program after spending the last three seasons at UAB, compiling over 1,200 rushing yards and 12 total touchdowns. In three games for the Hoosiers this season, he rushed 27 times for 209 yards and one score. With Beebe out of action, running backs Kaelon Black and Roman Hemby will be slated to see more touches as Indiana approaches Big Ten play. The Hoosiers take on No. 9 Illinois at home this Saturday as they start the road to a potential second consecutive College Football Playoff berth.

Ryan Williams Explodes In Return To Field
Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams (concussion) returned to action on Saturday after missing Week 2. Williams had not had 100 receiving yards in a game in nearly a year, but that changed on Saturday as Alabama blew out Wisconsin. Williams had a plethora of impressive plays, finishing the day with five receptions for 165 yards and two touchdowns. The sophomore receiver was the focal point of the Crimson Tide's offense in the dominant showing, and should remain such going forward. Alabama is on bye next week and will travel to Georgia on September 27.

Drew Allar Plays Mediocre Game In Blowout Win
Penn State quarterback Drew Allar did not look great in the 52-6 win over Villanova on Saturday. Allar completed 16-of-29 passes for 209 yards with a touchdown and an interception against the FCS-level defense. Penn State has yet to face a challenge this season, but a big one is coming after their upcoming bye this weekend. The Nittany Lions will host Oregon on September 27 in a Big Ten Championship rematch, a good test for the potential first-round quarterback and their toughest matchup of the season until traveling to Columbus on November 1.

LaNorris Sellers Exits Game In Blowout Loss
South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers (head) was knocked out of Saturday night's game early and did not return. The Gamecocks fell at home to Vanderbilt, 31-7. Backup quarterback Luke Doty never got the offense going, as they did not score a point from the point he entered the game in the second quarter. Sellers had completed 6-of-7 passes for 94 yards and an interception when he was knocked out. South Carolina will want their quarterback back for a big game on the road against Missouri next weekend, but it remains to be seen how severe the injury is.

DJ Lagway Tosses Five Interceptions In Loss
Florida quarterback DJ Lagway had the worst showing of his young career on Saturday night against LSU. The sophomore completed 33-of-49 pass attempts for 287 yards, a touchdown, and five interceptions. Many of the turnovers were factors of poor decision making. LSU's defense has looked incredible thus far and playing in Baton Rouge at night is no easy feat, but the performance was inexplicably awful. Lagway and the Gators have now dropped two straight games in poor offensive showings. They play on the road at Miami this week, another tough test for the young quarterback.

Garrett Nussmeier Plays Game Manager in Saturday's Win
LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier played well in Saturday's 20-10 win over Florida. Nussmeier didn't have to impress on a day where Florida quarterback DJ Lagway threw five interceptions, but the signal caller looked good in more of a game manager type of role. He completed 15-of-27 passes for 220 yards with a touchdown and an interception, while also running for five yards. Nussmeier didn't light the scoreboard up, but did a good job leading a talented LSU team to a victory against a tough Gators' defense. Through three games, the senior has not put up Heisman numbers as he was expected to during the offseason but perhaps he can give his numbers a boost next weekend against Southeast Louisiana.

CJ Carr Remains Poised In Narrow Loss
Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr looked good in the thrilling 41-40 loss against Texas A&M on Saturday night. The redshirt freshman is now 0-2 through his first two career starts, but his poise has to have Fighting Irish fans excited about the future of their program. Carr completed 20-of-32 passes for 293 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the narrow loss. He also took two sacks, resulting in negative 15 yards rushing on the game. With arguably Notre Dame's two toughest games out of the way, Carr has a full season to continue to grow and develop after being thrust into the starting role in two tough matchups to open the season. The young quarterback has shown a lot of promise despite narrowly losing both starts.

John Mateer Leads Oklahoma In Rout
Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer has been one of the most exciting signal callers in college football throughout the first month of play. That continued on Saturday in the 42-3 win over Temple. Mateer completed 20-of-34 pass attempts for 282 yards with one touchdown and one interception. The dual threat scrambled seven times for 63 yards and an additional touchdown on the ground. The Washington State transfer has made the Sooners one of college football's most fun teams so far this season, but he will face a test next weekend as the Auburn Tigers come to town.

Arch Manning Struggles Against UTEP
Texas quarterback Arch Manning struggled again in the 27-10 win over UTEP on Saturday. Manning completed 11-of-25 passes for 114 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He was more effective on the ground, rushing nine times for 52 yards and two touchdowns. There was a stretch in the game where Manning threw 10 straight incompletions, worrying fans of the Longhorns. Manning will have one more tune-up game next weekend against Sam Houston State before starting SEC play on the road against a tough Florida defense. The young quarterback was hyped up all offseason, but the early returns suggest that the hype was far overblown.

Jeremiah Smith Impresses In Win
Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith showed off his dominance in a 37-9 win on Saturday night over Ohio University. Smith found the end zone twice, both on the ground and through the air. He was the clear-cut favorite target for first-year starting quarterback Julian Sayin, and hauled in nine catches for 153 yards while adding 17 yards on the ground on his touchdown rush. The star sophomore is on bye next week, with his next opportunity to impress coming on September 27 against Washington. Smith is the best receiver in college football and remains a potential first-overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Sam Leavitt Shines As Arizona State Rebounds From Week 2 Loss
Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt guided his Sun Devils to a 34-15 win over Texas State in Week 3 to get back on track after a Week 2 loss to Mississippi State. Leavitt was 15-25 for 188 yards and a pair of touchdowns through the air. He also ran 12 times for 59 yards and another score. Leavitt has thrown for 527 yards and five touchdowns in 2025 with three interceptions. The dual-threat quarterback also has 157 rushing yards on 27 carries and three more touchdowns. The 2-1 Sun Devils will open Big 12 conference play at Baylor next Saturday.

Austin Simmons Listed As Game-Time Decision Against Arkansas
Ole Miss quarterback Austin Simmons (ankle) is a game-time decision for Saturday night's game against Arkansas. Simmons was in a walking boot this week, but carried no designation on the SEC injury report by the end of the week. His snaps ramped up in practice throughout the week, but ultimately, the sophomore will be a game-time decision. If he can't go, backup and Ferris State transfer Trinidad Chambliss would play in his place. Simmons has been shaky through his first two starts, throwing for 576 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions. If he can't go tonight, his next chance to play will be next Saturday against Tulane.

Nico Iamaleava Struggles In Fourth Straight Loss
UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava struggled to get the offense going in a 35-10 loss to New Mexico. Dating back to last season, this is now the sophomore's fourth straight loss. Iamaleava completed 22-of-34 pass attempts for 217 yards with one touchdown and an interception. He also scrambled six times for 33 yards. The former five-star had some flashy throws, including a dart to receiver Mikey Matthews early in the game, but it is clear that he still needs a lot of development to his game. UCLA has now dropped back-to-back games to G5 opponents, putting the Bruins in a tough spot heading into Big Ten play in two weeks. UCLA will be on a bye next week, followed by what feels like a must-win game at Northwestern on Saturday, September 27.

Antonio Williams Out Against Georgia Tech
Clemson wide receiver Antonio Williams (hamstring) will not play on Saturday as the Tigers travel to Georgia Tech. Williams was injured early in the Week 1 loss to LSU and has not played since. The junior led Clemson with 904 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns last season and is considered a potential first-round NFL prospect in the 2026 draft. Quarterback Cade Klubnik has struggled without his top target, only throwing for two touchdowns throughout the first two games. Williams will have another chance to suit up next Saturday when Clemson hosts Syracuse.

CJ Bailey Flashes Again in Win Over Wake Forest
NC State quarterback CJ Bailey completed 23 of his 32 passing attempts for 201 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions in the team's 34-24 win over Wake Forest on Friday night. The talented sophomore added 19 yards as a runner. His performance elevated the Wolfpack to its third straight win and second victory over a Power 4 opponent. The Miami, Florida native has completed over 70% of his passes for 719 yards and five scores to just one interception this season, and could be establishing himself as one of the better quarterbacks in the ACC. Next for Bailey and NC State is a matchup against Duke in what should be a fun contest between two fantastic quarterbacks.
