Cutter Boley Competing with Mikey Keene for Arizona State QB Job
Kentucky transfer Cutter Boley and Michigan transfer Mikey Keene are competing for the starting quarterback job at Arizona State, and Thomas Goldkamp of On3 said head coach Kenny Dillingham could wait until just before Week 1 to make the decision. Boley played in 11 games last season, completing 198 of his 301 passing attempts for 2,160 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Keene missed all of last season with an injury but appeared in 39 games with UCF and Fresno State from 2021 to 2024, compiling 8,245 passing yards, 65 touchdowns, and 28 interceptions. Boley has more physical talent, but Keene has a significant edge in playing experience. The Sun Devils will enter the 2026 campaign without Cam Skattebo and Sam Leavitt, so it will be interesting to see if they can make another run at the Big 12 crown.
