Jerome Bettis Jr. Healthy Entering Camp
Notre Dame wide receiver Jerome Bettis Jr. (foot) is not listed on the team's camp availability report, meaning he is a full participant to open preseason practice. The redshirt-freshman missed time at the end of spring practice with a foot injury. However, Bettis has an uphill climb to earn significant playing time in 2026, as the Irish wide receiver room is as talented as we've seen in recent years on paper. That said, the son of NFL Hall of Fame running back Jerome Bettis has talent and can't be counted out just yet. Notre Dame will likely have significant leads in the second half of many of their games, which could lead to Bettis seeing plenty of in-game reps in his second collegiate campaign. He caught just one pass for six yards a season ago.
