Tennessee Cornerback Jadais Richard Out for the Season
According to On3's Chris Low, Tennessee transfer cornerback Jadais Richard (undisclosed) will miss the entire 2026 season after suffering an injury while training at home. Richard transferred to the program this offseason after three seasons at Miami and one year at Vanderbilt. The veteran has 36 games of college football experience and was slated to play a role alongside Kayin Lee, Ty Redmond, and others in the backend of the Vols' defense. Tennessee replaced defensive coordinator Tim Banks with Jim Knowles following the 2025 season after finishing 15th in the SEC in passing yards allowed per game (244.5). Last year, Tennessee saw its starting cornerbacks go down before Week 2 of the regular season.
