Ryan Reaves Hopes to Play One More NHL Season
Winger Ryan Reaves remains a free agent deep into the offseason, but the 39-year-old enforcer hasn't given up hope of earning one more contract. "Playing 1000 games in the NHL is an honor for sure, especially in the role that I play," Reaves said recently on TSN1050's First Up. "I've been training all summer already and the body is holding up pretty well. I just think I've got one more left in the tank." Reaves is just 38 games away from joining the 1,000-game club. According to Reaves, a couple of teams have shown interest in his services, but no offers have come in yet. Last season, Reaves skated in 50 games for the San Jose Sharks.
