Jeremiah Smith Says Arthur Smith Will Improve Offense
After former Ohio State offensive coordinator Brian Hartline left for a head coaching job at South Florida, the Buckeyes hired former Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, and Pittsburgh Steelers play-caller Arthur Smith ahead of the 2026 season. Smith has been a controversial NFL offensive coordinator thanks to his run-first approach, but star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith does not share those concerns. "I feel like our offense is going to be better," Smith said. "Arthur Smith came in, and we know he's got NFL background. He's been teaching a lot of different things and showing a lot of different ways of how he got people to ball." Last season, Ohio State ranked 23rd nationally in passing yards per game (268.2), 72nd in rushing yards per game (154.4), and 21st in points per game (33.4). Expect Smith to get the most out of running back Bo Jackson, potentially enhancing the Buckeyes' rushing attack.
