Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride is a must-start TE1 when the Cardinals host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 18. McBride crossed two big milestones last week: breaking 1,000 yards and scoring his first receiving touchdown of the season. However, the game ended on a tough note, with the final pass bouncing off McBride's helmet, resulting in a Los Angeles Rams interception that officially ended the Cardinals' playoff hopes. McBride has had a sensational season and has provided fantasy managers with one of the biggest positional advantages in fantasy football. He is a no-doubt starter in what should be the final week of one of the best tight end seasons in Cardinals history.--Cody Pestino - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is a low-end starting quarterback in Week 18 when the Cardinals host the San Francisco 49ers. Murray and the Cardinals will look to end their season on a high note after watching their playoff hopes dwindle post-bye week. Murray had a solid performance last week, topping 300 yards despite throwing two interceptions. A strong showing in this matchup will help build momentum for the Cardinals heading into next season. With nothing to play for in terms of playoff implications, we can expect the Cardinals to play more freely and open up the playbook to put an exclamation point on their season. Murray should still be viewed as a starter in Week 18.--Cody Pestino - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

According to the team, Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (knee) was placed on Injured Reserve, which will keep him sidelined for the remainder of the 2024 season. In a corresponding move, Michael Carter was promoted to the active roster. Conner suffered a knee injury during their Week 16 loss to the Carolina Panthers and was listed as questionable leading up to their Week 17 tilt against the Rams. Conner was able to suit up in this contest but exited the game after just 12 offensive snaps. Conner ran the ball just four times for four yards and brought in two receptions for four yards. Rookie Trey Benson (ankle) is also on IR, which will leave DeeJay Dallas and now Carter as the lone backs for their final game. Carter saw the most work when Conner exited both games, which suggests he will be the lead option on Sunday afternoon.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Arizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland converted his lone field goal attempt but missed an extra point during Saturday's Week 17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The second-year kicker wasn't able to build on last week's dominant showing against the Carolina Panthers. Ryland's missed kick brought him to 21-for-22 on extra points and 26-for-30 on field goals in 2024. He'll look to bounce back as a decent streamer next week, assuming Matt Prater (knee) doesn't return from injured reserve for the Cardinals' season finale.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

The Arizona Cardinals defense/special teams allowed 13 points and failed to register a turnover or sack during Saturday's Week 17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The Cardinals entered Saturday's contest ranking near the middle of the league in terms of fantasy points, but they weren't able to build much confidence against the Rams. In the box score, Budda Baker stood out with two passes defended and one quarterback hit. Meanwhile, Kyzir White led the team with eight tackles, including one for loss. The Cardinals have now strung together two shaky, turnover-less showings over the last two weeks against the Panthers and Rams. They should be avoided in all fantasy leagues ahead of Week 18 versus the San Francisco 49ers.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Greg Dortch caught all three of his targets for 18 yards during Saturday's Week 17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The 26-year-old continued to see limited offensive participation, playing just 32 percent of snaps, which ranked fourth among all Cardinals wide receivers. He had modest volume through the air and hasn't scored double-digit fantasy points since Week 1. As he continues to operate behind three other impact receivers, Dortch remains off the fantasy radar in most leagues.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson caught four of his six targets for 22 yards during Saturday's Week 17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Interestingly, Wilson led all Cardinals wide receivers in snaps, seeing the field for 69 offensive plays (87.3 percent). This was his highest snap share since Week 6. Although we can't guarantee Wilson will maintain this same level of offensive participation going forward, it was intriguing to see him command six targets, albeit with just 5.5 yards per reception. He continues to have low-end FLEX appeal in deeper PPR leagues, but we need him to produce more consistently before putting full trust in him as a steady fantasy option.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

Arizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. had a much-needed breakout performance in the 13-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Harrison Jr. finished with six catches for 96 yards. He often made big plays down the field and thrived in one-on-one matchups, becoming a nightmare for the Rams' defense. Fantasy managers would've liked to see more red zone targets for Harrison Jr., but the Cardinals' offense struggled with red zone efficiency, limiting their scoring opportunities. Harrison Jr. is looking to close out a rocky rookie season on a strong note and build momentum heading into his second year in the NFL. The Cardinals will host the San Francisco 49ers in their season finale next week.--Cody Pestino - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride reached the end zone through the air for the first time this season in the 13-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. McBride had a dominant performance, catching 12 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown. He was the heartbeat of the Cardinals' offense and willed them down the field drive after drive. Unfortunately, McBride couldn't get his head around fast enough on the Cardinals' final offensive play, which resulted in a game-sealing interception for the Rams. McBride was one of the best tight ends in fantasy football this year, and managers should be pleased with his performance this week.--Cody Pestino - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com

Arizona Cardinals running back Michael Carter recorded 70 rushing yards on 13 attempts in the 13-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Carter stepped in for starting running back James Conner (knee), who went down with a knee injury in the first quarter. Carter rushed the ball well and made a few plays in the passing game that helped keep the Cardinals' offense afloat. With Conner's absence, it looks like Carter will be the featured back moving forward, with the statuses of Conner and rookie Trey Benson still unknown. The Cardinals will host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 18, and given that they are eliminated from playoff contention, it is reasonable to expect Carter to see more playing time next week, especially if Conner doesn't suit up.--Cody Pestino - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com

Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (knee) never returned to the game after re-injuring his knee in the first quarter. It appeared as though Conner got twisted up on during a fourth-down rushing attempt in the first quarter. After that run, we saw Conner being attended to on the sideline by athletic trainers, and he never re-entered the game. Conner ended the game with just four carries for four yards and two receptions for four receiving yards. This caps a tough ending to the season for James Conner's fantasy managers, and his status for Week 18 is up in the air. Given that the Cardinals are eliminated from playoff contention, it may be an uphill battle for Conner to play in Week 18 when the Cardinals host the San Francisco 49ers.--Cody Pestino - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray passed for 321 yards in a 9-13 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Despite throwing two interceptions late in the game, Murray played well in a bounce-back performance after the loss to the Carolina Panthers. Murray's official stat line was 33 completions on 48 attempts for 321 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. While Murray operated the offense at a high level, the Cardinals struggled with field position and red zone efficiency, which were the main factors in the offense scoring only nine points. With running back James Conner (knee) not returning after a first-half injury, the Cardinals were forced to rely on Murray's rushing ability more, and he rushed for 32 yards on four carries. This was a solid fantasy performance for those who played Murray during their championship weeks. The Cardinals and Murray will look to end the season on a high note with a win against the 49ers in Week 18.--Cody Pestino - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com
