J.T. Ginn Reinstated and Starting on Monday
J.T. Ginn (elbow) from the 15-day injured list and optioned right-hander Anthony Maldonado to Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Ginn will make the start in Monday's series opener against the division-rival Los Angeles Angels at Sutter Health Park. The 25-year-old is returning from a stint on the IL due to inflammation in his right elbow. He only went 3 1/3 innings in his lone minor-league rehab start last Wednesday with Triple-A Las Vegas, so although the matchup against the Halos is a good one in his return to the starting rotation, Ginn will most likely be on a pitch-count limit on Monday. In three starts in 2025 before getting hurt, Ginn had allowed seven earned runs on 15 hits (four homers) while walking six and fanning 15 in 13 2/3 frames. Those looking for a streamer should probably stay away.
