Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider drafting in 2026:
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will turn 33 just weeks before the start of his 11th professional season, and with the team making a concerted effort to shore up the defense, the veteran signal-caller may no longer be tasked with putting up 30 points every week to give his team a chance. The Cowboys saw an immediate defensive turnaround after acquiring Quinnen Williams in a mid-season trade, and with a clear focus on one side of the ball through both free agency and the draft, Dallas' pass-heavy game scripts could be shelved in 2026, leading to fantasy dips across the board.
That said, at RotoBaller's QB11, Prescott has been severely undervalued for years, and even if his production takes a step back, he still represents clear value in the later rounds of drafts. Across his last four healthy seasons, Prescott has finished as the QB2, QB8, QB3, and QB6, and while playing in at least 16 games, he's finished outside the top 10 only once in his career, all the way back in 2018.
With an offensive cast of CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Jake Ferguson, and Javonte Williams, even if the Cowboys aren't required to approach every game as a track meet, they still have the offensive firepower to finish as one of the highest scoring teams in the NFL, and fresh off a 4,552-yard, 30-touchdown season, Prescott still boasts league-winning potential.
Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams followed up a rocky rookie campaign by elevating his play under Ben Johnson, becoming the QB6 last year. The completion rate took a hit, but he made his throws count for more downfield, and the new scheme led to only 24 sacks against after absorbing 68 in '24. Williams' intended air yards per pass attempt bumped up from 7.9 to 8.5 as the next generation of Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, and Colston Loveland got going.
"Iceman" led six fourth-quarter comebacks, earning a 77-388-3 rushing line with a receiving TD sprinkled in. Will he turn around in his third season and start using his legs more as a rusher, rather than extending the play for a deep shot? He just showed us that he doesn't need to do that to be a solid top-10 QB, but that would be his path to reaching the top tier. Our RotoBaller rank has him in the top eight next to his ADP around pick 64 as the QB6.
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson couldn't overcome early injuries and inconsistency to approach the standard set by his QB1 finish in 2024. The two-time MVP completed 192-of-302 passes for 2,549 yards and a 21:7 TD-to-INT ratio, rushing 67 times for 349 yards and two scores. He suffered a hamstring injury in Week 3 that worsened in Week 4, which led to three games missed.
This came after three straight top-four fantasy finishes to open the year. Likely related to this, he later dealt with knee, ankle, and toe injuries, which further limited his mobility. It helps the team when you can hand it off to Derrick Henry rather than risk the QB, but it hurts Jackson's fantasy managers. As a result, he took a career-high sack rate and never had another top-six performance in his other nine games played.
However, we still saw a robust 13.3 yards per completion, and the 29-year-old shouldn't carry these injuries into 2026. Our site rank and the market are buying right back in near his ADP of 43, as Jackson remains the second QB off of most draft boards.
Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen turned in another QB1 finish during the 2025 season, throwing for 3,668 yards, 25 passing touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. On the ground, he enjoyed one of his more productive campaigns, totaling 14 rushing scores (second-most of his career) and adding 579 rushing yards, his most since the 2022 season. This was Allen's third straight season with double-digit rushing touchdowns.
Despite his lower passing volume (by passing yardage), ranking 11th among QBs, Allen remains the clear-cut QB1 in all formats given his incredible rushing upside, especially in the red zone. However, there is reason to believe Allen's passing totals could climb in the 2026 season. Last fall, the Bills ran the ball the most times in football, which limited Allen's passing ceiling. While they are unlikely to abandon this game plan as offensive coordinator Joe Brady is set to take over head coaching duties, the acquisition of DJ Moore could raise Allen's passing ceiling.
Outside of Khalil Shakir and tight end Dalton Kincaid, Allen did not have many proven options in the passing attack in 2025.
Moore had a down season in Chicago in 2025, but still found the end zone six times and has averaged 1,124 yards per season from 2019 through 2024. His elite rushing ability already makes Allen a well-worthwhile selection at his 27.0 ADP on Sleeper (QB1), but there is a clear path for him to return to the 4,000-yard passing floor he showed earlier in his career with Moore leading the wide receiver room.
Managers looking to gain a massive edge at the QB position should select Allen with confidence at this cost.
Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is coming off of the best statistical season of his career, throwing for a career-high 46 touchdowns while finishing as the QB3 in fantasy. Stafford won the MVP, playing at the highest level of his 17-year career, yet the Rams remained focused on the future of the position in the 2026 NFL Draft when they selected Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson with the thirteenth pick in the first round.
The selection of Simpson does not put any immediate pressure on Stafford, but the addition of his eventual replacement does add extra incentive to remain playing at the highest level possible. Los Angeles returns both Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, reuniting Stafford with the lethal receiving duo that allowed him to play at an MVP level. There are no indicators that his play will fall off this season, and he should be among the top quarterbacks off of the board in 2026 fantasy drafts.
