Brian Rowe Jr. Has Breakout Potential
UCLA sophomore wide receiver Brian Rowe Jr. is reportedly emerging as the top option in the Bruins' receiving room. Rowe transferred in from South Carolina, where he recorded 19 catches for 149 yards and a touchdown as a freshman. His playmaking ability from the slot has stood out, and he has been developing chemistry with quarterback Nico Iamaleava. Head coach Bob Chesney stated, "I remember talking to Shane Beamer about him, like, 'Can't believe you let that kid go.' He's like, 'We didn't want to let him go.' It shows up. He makes these, like, heroic catches, he's fast as can be. We've just got to keep getting the playbook done." Rowe will make his Bruins debut next Saturday against California.
