Gary Woodland Continues Playing Well Heading to Tour Championship
Gary Woodland finished tied for fourth at last week's BMW Championship and will now turn his focus to preparing for this week's Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia. Woodland has one win, seven top-25 finishes, and six missed cuts in 21 starts this season. This will be his first appearance at the Tour Championship since 2019 when he finished 15th. Over the past 12 months, Woodland ranks in the 71st percentile in proximity to the hole on approach shots from 100-150 yards in the fairway. This is important because 34% of approach shots came from this distance at last year's Tour Championship.
