Julian Lewis Set to Start for Colorado in Week 1
Sophomore quarterback Julian Lewis has officially won the starting job at Colorado. This comes as no surprise, as he consistently ran with the first-team all camp long ahead of Utah transfer Isaac Wilson. Lewis started a handful of games last season, completing 55% of passes for 589 yards and four touchdowns. He did not win a game, as the Buffaloes had a shaky 2025 season. Offensive coordinator Brennan Marion praised Lewis' growth this offseason, stating, "He understands how to win a football game. He has not done that yet, so obviously that'll be the challenge that presents itself this season for him. But he's done all the little things right, got out of his comfort zone. Everything that we've asked him to do, he's done with a smile on his face and tried to grow as a young quarterback." Lewis and the Buffaloes kick off a week from today, on September 3 at Georgia Tech.
