Jackson Arnold Named UNLV Starting Quarterback
Former Oklahoma and Auburn quarterback Jackson Arnold will start for UNLV in Saturday's Week 0 matchup with Memphis, according to head coach Dan Mullen. The Rebels will play both Arnold and former Michigan quarterback Alex Orji, but Arnold will get the first snaps. After entering college football as a highly touted recruit, Arnold has struggled through the first three seasons of his career. Overall, the Texas native has completed 63% of his passes for 3,293 yards, 22 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 27 career games. He has tallied a 9-9 record as a starter. He'll look to turn his career around with Mullen, who led the Rebels to a 10-4 campaign in his first year with the program.
