Jasson Dominguez Out Again on Wednesday
Jasson Dominguez (thumb) remains out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the visiting Cleveland Guardians in the Bronx. It will be Dominguez's second straight missed game after he jammed his left thumb over the weekend against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Once the inflammation in his thumb goes down, he's expected to return, possibly as early as Thursday's series finale against Cleveland. Cody Bellinger is making another start in left field and is batting cleanup, while Ben Rice is serving as the designated hitter and batting in the two-hole against Guardians right-hander Luis L. Ortiz. Bellinger has gone hitless in three career at-bats against Ortiz, while Rice has a hit and an RBI against him in two at-bats. Fantasy managers will need to keep Dominguez on their benches and check back on Thursday to see if he's back in action.
