Tyler Mahle Dealing With Rotator-Cuff Strain
Tyler Mahle (shoulder) is dealing with a rotator-cuff strain, according to Rangers' president of baseball operations Chris Young. Mahle was placed on the injured list on June 12 due to shoulder soreness. It seems like a fairly significant injury that has stopped Mahle from throwing for now. The team is having Mahle rest right now, so his return to the mound isn't on the horizon. There is no timetable for his return, but some point in July seems possible. UPDATE: The Rangers aren't expecting Mahle back until after the July 31 trade deadline.
