Kevin Gausman dominated the Houston Astros in a complete-game shutout on Thursday. Gausman improved to 10-10 in the Jays' 6-0 victory, yielding a pair of singles while tallying nine strikeouts against one walk over 100 pitches (79 pitches). The 34-year-old has offered elite production across his past three starts, having combined for 24 innings of two-run, eight-hit ball with 22:2 K:BB. His ERA is down to 3.44 with the majors' 10th-best WHIP (1.00), 171 strikeouts, and 45 walks through 177 1/3 innings. Gausman is scheduled to make his next start against the division-rival Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday. The Rays got the better of Gausman in their first meeting on May 15, when they teed off on him for six earned runs on 10 hits (including three homers) in 5 2/3 frames.
