Freddie Freeman Back in Friday's Lineup
As expected, Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman (neck) is back at first base and is batting third for Friday's series opener against the division-rival Arizona Diamondbacks and right-hander Zac Gallen. Freeman did not play in Wednesday's series finale against the Cincinnati Reds due to a neck stinger, but he's back on the field on Friday after a scheduled off day on Thursday. The 35-year-old veteran will return to face a familiar foe in Gallen, who he has hit .273 against with an .897 OPS, two home runs and six RBI in 22 career at-bats. The nine-time All-Star and former MVP should be returned to all starting fantasy lineups to begin the holiday weekend. Freeman is hitting a league-best .302 (136-for-451) on the season and has been even better in August, going 29-for-91 (.319) with seven long balls, seven doubles, 19 RBI and even two steals in 24 games.
