Travis Hunter Involved Early in NFL Debut
Travis Hunter showed off his two-way abilities in a 31-25 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the opening preseason game, it was expected Hunter would play a little bit on both sides of the ball, which is exactly what happened. He played 10 offensive snaps and eight defensive snaps. On offense, he ran with the starters on the opening drive, and finished with two catches and nine yards. The second-overall pick also had a third catch, of seven yards, wiped out by a penalty. He didn't produce any defensive stats. From an offensive perspective, Hunter's early involvement should have fantasy managers excited. Brian Thomas Jr., last year's rookie sensation, should still serve as Trevor Lawrence's go-to target, but Hunter has a chance to serve as the wide receiver 1B to Thomas's 1A. His snaps on both sides of the ball should be monitored throughout preseason, but this first game is a promising sign for the two-way phenom.
