EJ Crowell Misses Thursday's Scrimmage with Injury
Alabama freshman running back EJ Crowell (lower body) missed Thursday morning's scrimmage in Bryant-Denny Stadium with a lower-body injury, according to On3's Pete Nakos. Head coach Kalen DeBoer said the ailment will keep him out of a few practices. Crowell is expected to contribute right away for the Tide, and the program is unlikely to take many risks with his health in fall camp. It was also reported that AK Dear (undisclosed) suffered an injury in the scrimmage, meaning Daniel Hill, Kevin Riley, and freshman Tre'shawn Brown could be the team's primary healthy backs for a bit. The extent of Dear's injury is not yet known.
