Taylor Ward Remains Out of Angels Lineup
Taylor Ward (head) remains sidelined for the series opener in Kansas City against the Royals on Tuesday. Matthew Lugo will draw a second straight start in left field for the Halos and will bat seventh against Royals right-hander Michael Lorenzen at Kauffman Stadium. Ward had to leave Sunday's ballgame against the Houston Astros early due to a scary collision with the outfield wall in which he suffered a nasty cut above his left eye. The 31-year-old veteran has since cleared the league's concussion protocol and is hoping to return to action later this week if he's given the green light. Lugo has gone 11-for-54 (.204) with three homers and six RBI in limited big-league action this year and shouldn't be included in DFS lineups. Although Ward swings and misses often, he has already reached a career-high 30 bombs in 134 games in 2025.
