Kenneth Walker III Alternating Practice Days
Kenneth Walker III (foot) dealt with a sore foot in the first few days of August before returning to a full practice last week, according to The Tacoma News Tribune's Gregg Bell. Since last week, Walker has been alternating days off, and head coach Mike Macdonald said Walker will be fine for the regular-season opener in early September. "We have a program. We have a plan for Ken," Macdonald said. "And we're sticking to the plan." It's a smart plan given how much time the 24-year-old has missed in recent years due to lower-body injuries. He played in a career-low 11 games in 2024 and finished with 573 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 153 rushing attempts. Walker is outside the RB1 conversation because of his injury risk and the fact that Seattle will most likely look to get Zach Charbonnet more involved to lessen the wear and tear on Walker moving forward.
