Zach Neto Exits Early Tuesday After Jamming Right Shoulder
Zach Neto (shoulder) exited Tuesday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Red Sox in the ninth inning after making an errant throw to first base. Per the Associated Press' Greg Beacham, Neto jammed his throwing shoulder on a stolen base attempt earlier in the game, and interim manager Ray Montgomery said that Neto was removed as a precaution. The 24-year-old went 1-for-4 with a single and two strikeouts before exiting the game. Neto missed the beginning of the season after having right shoulder surgery but has slashed a strong .278/.321/.494 with 12 home runs, 29 RBI, and 13 stolen bases in 262 plate appearances. Fantasy managers should keep an eye out for more news, but it seems as though Neto is merely day-to-day.
