Jefferson Rojas Stays Hot with Two-Hit Outing
Jefferson Rojas continued to swing a hot bat on Wednesday evening as he went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI during their contest against High-A Quad Cities. Rojas has been one of the top hitters at the High-A level throughout the month. Over his last 23 contests, the No. 6-ranked prospect in the system has posted an impressive .344/.423/.589 slash line with five doubles, four triples, three home runs, and five stolen bases. During his first 12 games of the season, the No. 78-ranked prospect in the sport on MLB.com carried a low .217/.321/.326 line with just three extra-base hits (one home run). Last season, the 20-year-old made his High-A debut but has begun to take the next step this season. If he continues to find his footing, Rojas will be a candidate to earn the call to Double-A in the second half of the season.
