Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Emmanuel Rodriguez (oblique) began a rehab assignment at Single-A Fort Myers on Wednesday. The Twins' fourth-ranked prospect has been out since suffering the injury back on July 12. It is the second time this season that the 22-year-old has had to complete a rehab assignment, having been limited to 43 games at Triple-A this year. In those 43 games, the left-handed slugger has recorded a .254/.411/.428 slash line with five home runs and seven steals. His elevated 33.1 percent strikeout rate is concerning, but he also has a knack for drawing a ton of walks, registering a 19.4 percent walk rate this season. It might be too late to make a push for a major league debut this year, but the Dominican should be in the mix for a promotion next year, although a lengthy injury history could dampen his fantasy outlook.--Jarod Rupp
