Pittsburgh Pirates closer David Bednar picked up his 11th save of the season in Monday's 5-4 win over the Brewers. Bednar entered to pitch the bottom of the ninth inning up by one. He allowed a leadoff single, got the first out on a caught stealing attempt, allowed a walk, got the second out on a strikeout, and ended the game with a fly-out. The 30-year-old had a poor 2024 campaign and was demoted to Triple-A Indianapolis at the beginning of the season. However, he has gotten back into shape, converting all of his save opportunities with a 2.93 ERA, a 1.12 WHIP, and a 12.69 K/9 rate in 27 2/3 innings of work. The Pirates may not offer as many save opportunities as other teams, but Bednar should still provide plenty of fantasy value if he can stay locked in.--Connelly Doan
