Chicago Cubs relief pitcher Daniel Palencia picked up his ninth save of the season in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Guardians. Palencia came in to pitch the top of the ninth inning up by three and shut the door with a 1-2-3 performance, including two strikeouts. The 25-year-old has served as the team's primary closer for the last month and has converted all but one of his save opportunities this season with a 1.80 ERA, a 0.97 WHIP, and a 10.50 K/9 rate in 30 innings of work. Veteran Ryan Pressly has seen some save opportunities as well, but he has taken a back seat to Palencia, who is rostered in just 45 percent of leagues. The Cubs' strong performance this season and Palencia's increasing responsibilities make him worth a roster spot in at least all roto leagues at this time.--Connelly Doan
