Roman Anthony Tallies Hit In Return
Roman Anthony (foot) returned to the starting nine on Tuesday evening and went 1-for-5 with a strikeout. This is an excellent sign as the budding star was dealing with a minor foot injury over the weekend. However, Anthony was able to make a quick return to the starting nine. Through his first 24 games of the Triple-A regular season, the No. 2-ranked prospect in the sport on MLB Pipeline has posted a stellar .306/.439/.565 slash line with five doubles, five home runs, and two stolen bases. Last season, during his first taste of Triple-A action, the outfielder posted a .344/.463/.519 slash line with 12 doubles. Given his impressive start to the campaign, Anthony should be viewed as a top stash option in all standard formats.Source: Tommy Cassell

Carson Benge Surging At High-A
Carson Benge has been heating up at the plate at High-A Brooklyn. Over his last five contests, Benge has held a .500/.600/.750 slash line with two doubles, one home run, four RBI, and a stolen base. Prior to this surge, Benge went 1-for-22 over his last five contests. Through his first 17 games at the High-A level, the former 19th overall pick in last year's draft has posted a strong .292/.403/.415 slash line with five doubles, one home run, and a 17:12 K:BB. Benge is currently considered the No. 3-best prospect in the New York system and the No. 98-ranked prospect in the sport on MLB Pipeline. If Benge continues to produce at High-A, the Oklahoma State product should contend for an early promotion to Double-A.Source: MiLB.com

Chase Petty Joins MLB Roster Prior To Wednesday's Start
Chase Petty to the MLB roster ahead of his MLB debut on Wednesday evening against the St. Louis Cardinals. Petty is slated to start the second half of Wednesday's doubleheader. The 22-year-old has enjoyed a strong start to the Triple-A campaign and is being rewarded with an early MLB debut. Through his first 23 innings at Triple-A Louisville, Petty has held a 3.52 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP. He has struck out 27 batters and served up just nine free passes. In his last start, Petty tossed six shutout innings and tallied seven punchouts against the Iowa Cubs. He is worth a look in deeper NL-only formats facing the St. Louis Cardinals. However, he will likely be optioned back to Triple-A after this start and should not be targeted in shallow formats.Source: Cincinnati Reds
The Cincinnati Reds have officially promoted right-handed pitching prospect Noah Cameron Officially Promoted Ahead Of MLB Debut
Noah Cameron from Triple-A Omaha ahead of his MLB debut on Wednesday. Cameron is slated to fill in for the injured Cole Ragans (groin) during Wednesday's contest against the Tampa Bay Rays. Cameron has enjoyed a solid start to the Triple-A regular season. Through his first 22 1/3 innings of work, the Central Arkansas product has held a 3.22 ERA with a strong 1.03 WHIP. He has struck out 27 batters and shown strong command as he has served up eight free passes. Last season at Triple-A, the southpaw posted an impressive 2.32 ERA with a 1.01 WHIP across 54 1/3 innings of work. Given his steady production at Triple-A, fantasy managers should consider adding Cameron as a streaming option on Wednesday ahead of his outing against the Rays.Source: Kansas City Royals
The Kansas City Royals have officially promoted left-handed pitching prospect Matt Shaw Tallies Four Hits On Tuesday
Matt Shaw went 4-for-5 with a double and an RBI during Tuesday's contest against Triple-A Buffalo. This was Shaw's third-straight game tallying multiple hits. Since returning to Triple-A Iowa on April 18, the Maryland product has held a strong .290/.405/.452 slash line with two doubles and a home run. Shaw was able to make the Opening Day roster out of spring training but was optioned back to the minor leagues after he struggled. Across his first 18 games in the big leagues, the former 13th overall pick held a modest .172/.294/.241 slash line with just two extra-base hits. Fantasy managers in deeper NL-only formats should continue to monitor his status at Triple-A, as he should contend for an early return to the big leagues. When he does return, he will be worth rostering in all standard leagues given the potential he has shown at Triple-A.Source: MiLB.com
Chicago Cubs infield prospect Kyle Gibson Shelled In Season Debut Against Yankees
Kyle Gibson (0-1) made his season debut Tuesday night but struggled significantly in the 15-3 loss to the New York Yankees. He allowed nine earned runs on 11 hits, including five home runs, and was pulled before finishing the fourth inning. The Bronx Bombers jumped on the 37-year-old early, launching back-to-back-to-back home runs in the first. His rough outing only adds to the concerns for a Baltimore rotation that has struggled to find consistency early in the season. Gibson will look to rebound in his next scheduled start on Tuesday on the road against the Minnesota Twins.Source: MLB.com
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Bowden Francis Struggles In Blowout Loss To Red Sox
Bowden Francis (2-4) faced significant challenges on Tuesday night, surrendering seven earned runs in just three innings in a 10-2 home loss to the Red Sox. He was tagged with his fourth loss of the season. Francis gave up five home runs and struck out only one batter, capping off a tough April. After showing promise as a starter for Toronto last August, Francis now holds a 5.28 ERA over 30 2/3 innings, with opponents batting .274 against him. The Blue Jays will need him to regain his form as they fall behind in the AL East. Francis will look to rebound in his next start on Sunday at home against the Cleveland Guardians.Source: MLB.com
Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Garrett Crochet Cruises To Third Win Of The Year
Garrett Crochet (3-2) continued his early-season dominance in Tuesday's 10-2 win over the Blue Jays. Crochet earned the win after allowing two runs on four hits while striking out six over seven innings. He now has a 2.05 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 50 strikeouts through 44 innings and has firmly established himself as the Red Sox's No. 1 starter. Crochet figures to shoulder a significant workload as Boston pushes to stay in the mix in a competitive American League East. The southpaw's next scheduled start is Sunday at home against the Minnesota Twins.Source: MLB.com
Boston Red Sox left-hander Tanner Bibee Builds Momentum With Strong Start On Tuesday
Tanner Bibee went seven strong innings in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Minnesota Twins. Bibee recorded five strikeouts and allowed just one run on five hits, lowering his ERA to 4.36 on the season. He did not factor into the decision. While he was not able to record a win after a Ty France home run tied the game in the fifth, Bibee still built on his previous outing in a significant way. He now has 25 strikeouts in 33 innings and carries a 1.30 WHIP while holding opponents to a .242 average. Bibee will look to build on Tuesday's performance in his next start on Sunday on the road against the Toronto Blue Jays.Source: MLB.com
Cleveland Guardians right-hander Seiya Suzuki Stays Hot, Boosts Cubs Offense With Two-Run Home Run
Seiya Suzuki powered the team to a commanding 9-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night. Suzuki went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a triple, a walk, and two additional runs scored in Tuesday's victory. The 30-year-old is now slashing .298/.368/.596 and continues to produce at the plate after his best offensive season in 2024. He has also recorded four multi-hit performances in his last five games. Suzuki remains a key piece in the Cubs' offense as he and the Cubs will try to keep things rolling Wednesday against right-hander Carmen Mlodzinski.Source: MLB.com
Chicago Cubs right fielder Andy Pages Continues Torrid Stretch
Andy Pages went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 15-2 victory over the Miami Marlins. He added two singles, a steal, and scored twice. Pages is the hottest hitter in baseball right now, putting together a seven-game hit streak with five multi-hit efforts, including three three-hit and a four-hit performance. Over that time, the 24-year-old is an astounding 17-for-29 (.586) with seven extra-base hits (four home runs, three doubles), eight RBI, three steals, and nine runs scored. The hot stretch has him up to a .293/.369/.533 slash line, and he's well on his way to outpacing the statistics he accrued in his first big-league action last season. However, he may see some regression soon, considering he's vastly outperforming his .220 xBA.Source: ESPN
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Luis Robert Jr. Continues Running Wild
Luis Robert Jr. went 1-for-3 with a home run, a steal, and a walk in his team's 7-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday. The 27-year-old gave the White Sox an early 2-0 lead when he and teammate Andrew Benintendi hit back-to-back long balls in the bottom of the first inning, though that'd be all the offense they could muster. Robert Jr. may finally be waking up at the plate, as he's recorded two homers in his last three games while putting together a four-game hit streak -- his longest of the year. Additionally, he's stolen four bases during that stretch, already putting him at 11 on the young season. He has an excellent chance to eclipse the career-high he set in that figure a season ago (23).Source: ESPN
