Injury Status: Healthy

Detroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene (hamstring) has been reinstated from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and is starting in left field and batting cleanup for Tuesday's divisional clash at Target Field against the hosting Minnesota Twins and right-hander Andrew Morris, according to MLB.com. Greene is ready to rejoin the big-league starting nine after going 1-for-6 in two minor-league rehab games. The 25-year-old was placed on the IL back on Aug. 12 with a hamstring strain, but now that he is back, he will look to get back on track for the Tigers and fantasy managers in the final month of the regular season. The former first-rounder hit just .214 (6-for-28) with a homer, a double, an RBI, seven runs scored, three walks, and 12 strikeouts in just eight games in August before his hamstring injury. The three-time All-Star's power has been down after he hit a career-high 36 bombs in 2025. He is returning to a .273/.366/.450 slash line with an .816 OPS, 16 homers, 54 RBI, 65 runs scored, and three stolen bases across 117 games played in 2026. Greene is hitless in just one career at-bat versus Morris.

Riley Greene 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: New Approach Unlocks Elite Power

Detroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene enjoyed a breakout 2025 campaign, taking his offensive production to another level. Greene led the Tigers in nearly every major offensive category, posting career highs with 36 home runs, 111 RBI, and 84 runs scored while slashing .258/.313/.493, good for a 121 wRC+. The 25-year-old changed his hitting approach, prioritizing lift and power over pure contact. Unfortunately, that change came with trade-offs. Greene struck out 201 times, the most ever in a single season in Tigers history. Looking ahead to 2026, Greene is set to be the catalyst of the Tigers' offense. He will hit third or fourth in the lineup daily, and if he can sustain the gains he made in 2025, he carries a 40-home-run ceiling and should collect more than 80 runs and 100 RBI. However, with his new approach, fantasy managers should expect a batting average closer to .240 than .280. Additionally, the Tigers finished last in team stolen bases in 2025 and generally don't like to run, so you shouldn't expect more than a couple swipes from Greene in 2026. Currently, he is being selected as a top-15 outfielder with an ADP of 73.65. As long as he stays healthy, Greene shouldn't have much trouble returning value in 2026.less...
