The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing free-agent wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to their practice squad. The Steelers are looking to upgrade at wide receiver ahead of the trade deadline. The 31-year-old isn't a star wideout, but could be decent depth for this roster. He had a minor role on the San Francisco 49ers roster earlier in the season, but now looks to help his former teammate, quarterback Aaron Rodgers, in Pittsburgh. Valdes-Scantling will likely only be used as depth, but could end up with a minor role on game days.--Andy Webb
