Xander Schauffele Still Searching for First Victory at Rocket Classic
Even with plenty of decent finishes this season, it still feels like a slump year for Xander Schauffele. He's still looking for his first regular-season victory since his standout year in 2024 and has struggled at times with an ice-cold putter. Just in his last seven starts, the 32-year-old has only gained strokes on the greens in two of them. The ball striking is also not as crisp, losing strokes on approach in four of those same seven events. This will be his first trip to Detroit Golf Club, where the new redesign plays more to the short game strength and long-iron prowess that Schauffele possesses. Even if he isn't playing up to his incredibly high standard, he's undoubtedly one of the best players in the field.
