Fantasy Football Draft Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider drafting in 2026:
Emmett Johnson, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs rookie fifth-round running back Emmett Johnson appears to be the clear No. 2 RB in KC in training camp behind starter Kenneth Walker, with Johnson getting the next touch after Walker in 9-on-7 drills in Monday's practice, according to Pete Sweeney of The Kansas City Star.
Head coach Andy Reid had good things to say about the Nebraska product after he carried the ball 12 times for 59 yards and caught all three of his targets for 10 yards during the preseason opener against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday. Johnson's carries and rushing yards led the team.
The 22-year-old was listed as the RB3 on the first unofficial depth chart of the preseason behind Walker and Emari Demercado, but if Johnson continues to run hard and look good in camp and the preseason, it would not be a surprise at all to see him open his rookie campaign as the primary backup in KC. In addition to Demercado, Johnson is competing with Brashard Smith for the backup role. Walker will be close to a bell-cow back in his first year with the Chiefs, but Johnson's pass-catching ability alone might make him the best upside handcuff option in KC.
Denzel Boston, Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Denzel Boston saw time with the first team in the team's 34-10 preseason opening loss to the Chicago Bears. Boston caught a 15-yard pass from Deshaun Watson on the Browns' opening drive of the game. That was the lone catch of the game for Boston, who was targeted twice in all.
Jerry Jeudy, like Boston, had two targets in the game and KC Concepcion saw four targets and rushed for a 14-yard TD. It is looking like Boston will be in the mix for top-three receiver targets for the Browns along with Jeudy and Concepcion. Boston should see his target share increase as the preseason progresses to see if he is ready for a starting role as a rookie.
Germie Bernard, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Germie Bernard hauled in four of five targets for 51 receiving yards in a 28-9 preseason win over the Green Bay Packers. Bernard, a second-round pick in this year's NFL Draft, saw time with the first-team offense and immediately looked the part.
He caught quarterback Mason Rudolph's first pass attempt and later impressed with a 25-yard catch-and-run that saw him shed multiple defenders. Bernard nearly scored a touchdown early in the second quarter but couldn't get his second foot in bounds despite a valiant effort. The Alabama product is unlikely to be drafted in many fantasy formats this fall, but he is a name to monitor as the season progresses given the uncertainty surrounding the Steelers' wide receiver room behind DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr. He'll get his next preseason action against the New York Jets next Friday.
Ja'Kobi Lane, Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane caught all three of his targets for 38 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's preseason contest against the Philadelphia Eagles. Lane made quite an impression in his pro debut, catching every pass thrown his way and adding six points with a trip to the end zone.
The third-round pick out of USC continues to boost his stock with an impressive training camp and start to the preseason. He still has two more preseason games ahead of him, but as it stands, Lane could be a sneaky candidate for the No. 2 receiver role behind Zay Flowers in Baltimore. After all, Rashod Bateman has left a lot to be desired through his first five seasons, and Devontez Walker remains lower in the pecking order despite a solid training camp. Lane is an intriguing buy-low candidate in dynasty leagues, and we wouldn't be surprised to see him get drafted in deeper redraft leagues, too. We expect the Ravens to pass more in 2026, and Lane could be a key part of the offensive attack.
Nicholas Singleton, Tennessee Titans
With most of the Tennessee Titans' starters playing well into the second quarter of the team's preseason debut against the 49ers, rookie running back Nicholas Singleton did not see his first action until the closing minutes of the first half, but he looked good on his first carry, running up the middle for eight yards on first down.
Singleton would end the night with 31 yards on a team-leading eight carries but found no involvement in the passing game on a night where the Titans completed only 12 total passes. Singleton has had a strong training camp, but with Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears appearing to have well-defined roles on the depth chart ahead of him, he could be hard-pressed to carve out standalone value in 2026. In the long term, however, the rookie should only see his value rise, as both veterans are in the final year of their respective contracts, and Singleton is RotoBaller's dynasty RB42.
