Hornets Add John Bryant to Charles Lee's Staff
The Charlotte Hornets are adding John Bryant as an assistant coach, according to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto. Bryant spent the past several seasons on Billy Donovan's staff in Chicago after previously working under Brett Brown with the Philadelphia 76ers. A former professional player, Bryant's coaching resume also includes G-League stops with the Bakersfield Jam and Delaware Blue Coats. He now joins Charles Lee's staff in Charlotte after the Hornets jumped to 44-38 and reached the Play-In Tournament in 2025-26. Assistant-coach hires rarely change minutes or usage directly, so this has no immediate fantasy impact. It reads more as a development-minded addition for a young team trying to build on last season's leap.
