League sources said Tuesday that the New York Mets are expected to promote right-handed pitching prospect Jonathan Pintaro, per the Athletic's Will Sammon. The 27-year-old has pitched 11 starts over 42 1/3 innings pitched with Double-A Binghamton this season, compiling a 3.40 ERA, a 1.11 WHIP, and a 33.3% strikeout rate. While he has served as a starter throughout his minor-league career, Pintaro is expected to provide depth out of the bullpen. He is the No. 22 prospect for the Mets, per MLB Pipeline, so he does not come with a ton of pedigree. His lack of fantasy hype, coupled with his role, will limit his potential fantasy value early on.--Connelly Doan
