Ryan Clifford 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Could Ryan Clifford Make An Impact With the Mets In 2026?
New York Mets' No. 6 prospect Ryan Clifford spent his 2025 season progressing from Double-A to Triple-A in the minor leagues. In 139 games played between Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Syracuse, Clifford had 29 home runs, 93 RBI, and a slash line of .237/.356/.470. Clifford also flashed some promise in the minors with a .826 OPS and a 13.1 K-BB%. The 22-year-old started the year as a first baseman and played a total of 70 games there, but also transitioned to playing outfield for a total of 53 games in the minor leagues. Clifford was invited to spring training in 2026 to further improve his ability to play corner outfield and also work on his batter's eye, as evidenced by the .237 overall BA last year. "So just {looking} to be aggressive and trust my eyes is the biggest thing for me, and I'll adjust the spin accordingly, more times than not," Clifford told SNY, while adding that he will "just look to hunt the fastball," as he makes offensive adjustments. NFBC players are drafting Clifford at an ADP of 723. RotoBaller.com has Clifford ranked No. 708 overall. Even though Clifford is expected to start the 2026 season in Triple-A, fantasy managers should keep an eye on his status for a possible future callup, especially due to New York's lack of outfield depth.
