Fantasy Football Draft Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider drafting in 2026:
Cam Skattebo, New York Giants
New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo carried the ball four times for 19 yards and went without a target in the team's 13-10 preseason loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Skattebo saw his first game action since suffering a compound fracture of his right leg in Week 8 of the 2025 season.
Despite the quick turnaround to the 2026 season, the second-year back looked strong, breaking multiple tackles less than a year after the gruesome injury. However, a split was evident among running backs Tyrone Tracy Jr., Devin Singletary, and Skattebo. On the first two first-team drives, Tracy played seven of 16 plays, Skattebo played five, and Singletary played four.
Skattebo also did not play in obvious passing-down situations, with Tracy handling most of the third-down work on Saturday. While the team is likely easing Skattebo back into football shape after a significant injury, fantasy managers should temper expectations, especially in the receiving game and early in the season.
Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson has never topped 41 catches or 620 receiving yards in a season, but he's also never played a full slate of games nor been the team's unquestioned primary receiver. With the team moving on from Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks this offseason, reports out of training camp indicate that Watson has a strong chance to be a lynchpin of the Packers' offense, and if he can manage to stay healthy throughout 2026, he could be due for a legitimate breakout.
Now more than 19 months removed from the ACL injury that ended his 2024 season, Watson returned for the final 11 weeks of 2025, playing as the fantasy WR9 over that span and catching six touchdown passes over his final seven games. With tight end Tucker Kraft expected back for the start of the year after suffering his own ACL tear in 2025, the Packers are expected to lean heavily on multi-tight-end packages, a personnel grouping from which Watson has historically thrived.
Watson has not finished as a top-40 fantasy receiver since his rookie season, but at RotoBaller's WR28, a sizable step forward is expected, and he is capable of flirting with WR1 upside in any given week.
Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry still hasn't given anyone much evidence that he's slowing down. He ran for 1,595 yards and 16 touchdowns on 307 carries last season, averaged 5.2 yards per attempt, and closed the year with four straight 100-yard games. Baltimore still views him as the clear leader of the backfield, too. The concern in full PPR is everything that happens outside of those carries. Henry caught only 15 passes for 150 yards last year and has 34 receptions in two seasons with the Ravens.
That can leave some quiet fantasy weeks when the rushing touchdowns aren't there, even for a player this productive. RotoBaller has Henry 12th overall in half-PPR but 18th in full PPR, which tells the story pretty well. Nobody needs to predict an age-32 collapse after the season he just had. The rushing upside is still enormous. It's just easier to pass on Henry early in full PPR when other backs in that range can give you much more through the air.
Javonte Williams, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams had a career year in his first season in Dallas in 2025, rushing for a career-high 1,201 yards and 11 touchdowns to earn a three-year, $24 million contract extension with the team in February. Going into his second season with the Cowboys, Williams is excited about the potential of the offense, according to Tommy Yarrish of the team's official website.
"Just a whole other level of maturity," Williams said of Dallas' offense this year. "I feel like we hit the ground running. We didn't really start from the ground up, we just kind of built on what we could've done better last year. I feel like we're executing and communicating well." Personally, Williams said his conditioning is in a better place as he heads into his second year in Dallas and his sixth year in the NFL. In one of the league's highest-scoring offenses, Williams should carry a high fantasy floor as a low-end RB1/high-end RB2 in 2026.
Luther Burden III, Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears face the Cleveland Browns in a Saturday afternoon tilt to open their preseason slate, and while second-year wide receiver Luther Burden III (groin) will not take part as he recovers from the groin injury that has held him out of the last week of practices, he was spotted putting in some light work before the game.
Without overexerting himself, Burden was seen jogging about 30 yards before slowing to a walk into the end zone. The 22-year-old is not expected to make any preseason appearances, but the team remains hopeful he will be available for the regular-season opener against the Panthers on September 13. Prior to the injury, Burden had generated significant training camp buzz and projects to be a focal point of the Bears' offense in 2026.
