Jo Adell Scratched With Vertigo on Thursday
Jo Adell (illness) is dealing with vertigo and has been scratched from the team's lineup against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports. Chris Taylor will take Adell's place in right field and hit fifth versus right-hander Bryce Miller, while Luis Rengifo will play second base and bat sixth. After Adell missed the Angels' first two games this week with vertigo, he felt well enough to play in their 4-3 win over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday. Adell went 0-for-3 in that game, but this has been a career year for the former top prospect. Adell has slashed .242/.304/.504 with 35 home runs, 94 RBI, 57 runs scored, and five stolen bases over 516 plate appearances in his age-26 season. Fantasy managers should check back on Friday to see if he returns to the Angels' lineup.
