Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting for Week 16 SNF:
TreVeyon Henderson, RB, New England Patriots
New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson had arguably his best performance of the season last week in the loss to the Buffalo Bills. Henderson rushed the ball 14 times for 148 yards and scored two touchdowns versus Buffalo. The rookie back put the league on notice when he took over as the lead RB when Rhamondre Stevenson missed three games earlier in the season.
Since Stevenson returned, the two backs have been splitting the workload in the backfield. Henderson has been the much more productive option with 60 rushing yards or more in each of his last five games. The expectation is that Henderson will continue to be fed the ball often because of his explosive playmaking abilities. He'll have RB1 upside against the Baltimore Ravens defense in Week 16.
Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots
New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson has seen a notable decline in usage since returning from the toe injury that caused him to miss three games from Weeks 9-11. Prior to the injury, he was averaging 12.8 opportunities per game, while that number has slipped to just 10.7 over the past three weeks. He has taken exactly six handoffs in two of those three games, and the goal line work that was almost exclusively his to begin the year is now being split with explosive rookie TreVeyon Henderson.
Stevenson looked good on his limited opportunities in a Week 15 loss to the Bills, but his touches all but dried up following an undisciplined penalty, leaving Henderson to handle most of the team's second-half work. The Patriots face an undaunting Ravens run defense in Week 16, but Stevenson looks to have fallen behind Henderson in New England's backfield committee, and he is RotoBaller's RB41 for the week.
Kayshon Boutte, WR, New England Patriots
New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte was unproductive during Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills, tying his season low with one target in the defeat. The third-year wideout has hit a slump over the last few weeks. Boutte hasn't surpassed 35 receiving yards in a game since Week 8. The good news is that Boutte is heading into a plus matchup against the Baltimore Ravens defense in Week 16.
The expectation is that the Patriots should have more success passing the ball in that one. Boutte isn't a high-end streaming option, but he should offer deep-league appeal in a flex spot. He has hauled in six touchdowns and is one of the better red-zone threats in this offense. Fantasy managers should expect a bounce-back outing from the 23-year-old this weekend.
Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (illness) returned to practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday's session with an illness, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN. Jackson continued an ongoing trend of missing Wednesday practices, but this time it was due to an illness and not a nagging ankle injury. He should be ready to go for Sunday Night Football against the New England Patriots, and there is hope for his fantasy managers that he can be more productive as he puts his nagging lower-body injuries in the rearview mirror.
Jackson has not looked like a two-time MVP in 2025, throwing for 2,210 yards, 18 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 11 games played while adding only two rushing touchdowns. The 28-year-old has multiple touchdown passes just once in the last six games, although the good news is that the one instance came last week. Treat Jackson as a low-end QB1 in Week 16
