Quarterback Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups - Top QB Adds for Week 11 Include J.J. McCarthy, Joe Flacco, Jacoby Brissett, Michael Penix Jr.

Joe Flacco - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, Rankings, Streamers, Draft Sleepers

Dan's top quarterback Week 11 fantasy pickups (2025). The best QB fantasy waiver wire pickups to add and Week 11 QB streamers for 1QB, 2QB, and Superflex leagues.

Week 10 was another strong week for quarterbacks in fantasy. Eight quarterbacks scored at least 20 points (both Jalen Hurts and Jordan Love can accomplish that feat tonight as well). Four quarterbacks had 25.0+ fantasy points, including a shocking QB1 performance for Davis Mills against the Jacksonville Jaguars (27.6 points).

There are still 10 teams that haven’t had their bye week yet, including two in Week 11 (Indianapolis and New Orleans). Fantasy managers still need to be vigilant on the waiver wire with the fantasy playoffs on the horizon.

In this article, I will focus on players under 65% rostered in fantasy leagues while adding a couple of deep sleepers for two-quarterback leagues (less than 25% rostered). Let’s look at who you should consider picking up for Week 11 below. All roster percentages will be from Yahoo fantasy leagues.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Single-QB Waiver Wire Pickups and Stashes

J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings- 56% rostered

Week 10 wasn’t a clean game for J.J. McCarthy, but he still managed to be usable in fantasy. The second-year quarterback completed just 47.6% of his passes but threw for 248 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. He also added five carries for 48 yards.

McCarthy has had plenty of struggles this season in his four starts, but there have been plenty of flashes. From a fantasy perspective, he’s been a solid, if not a good option, for three of his four weeks. McCarthy has three games with 14.0+ fantasy points, including a 22.2-point effort in Week 1.

Part of McCarthy’s appeal in fantasy is his ability to have production as a rusher. McCarthy has at least five carries in three straight games. He also has three games this season with 25 or more rushing yards and has added two rushing touchdowns this season.

The Vikings face off against the Bears again in Week 11. Not only is this the team against whom McCarthy had his best game this season (from a fantasy perspective), but it is also a team currently navigating several injuries across its secondary. A top 12 performance is not out of the question for McCarthy.

Joe Flacco, Cincinnati Bengals- 52% rostered

Joe Flacco’s trade to the Cincinnati Bengals created one of the best pocket passing fantasy options in 2025. The veteran quarterback played four games with the Bengals, averaging 43.3 attempts, 313.5 passing yards, and 2.8 passing touchdowns per game before the bye week. He threw for over 1,200 passing yards and 11 touchdowns during that time.

Flacco was the QB2 in fantasy points per game from Weeks 6 to 9 (minimum two games played), averaging 25.4 points per game.

At this point, the Cincinnati Bengals have proven they trust Flacco completely to get the ball to Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, regardless of the opponent. That’s good because their defense will continue to push the team into negative game scripts.

The Bengals have an excellent matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers’ secondary in Week 11, but they also have favorable matchups against Baltimore (Weeks 13 and 15) and Miami (Week 16) on the horizon.

Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals- 20% rostered

Kyler Murray (foot) was shockingly placed on the injured reserve before Week 10’s game, meaning Jacoby Brissett will be the starting quarterback for at least four weeks (including Week 10). Based on comments from head coach Jonathan Gannon, Brissett may just be the team’s starting quarterback going forward.

To be fair, Brissett has been excellent in his four games as the starter in 2025. From Weeks 6 to 9, Brissett was the QB10 in fantasy, averaging 22.1 fantasy points per game. During that time, he completed 65.2% of his passes for 860 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception.

He continued that strong play in Week 10, even if the Cardinals were on the losing end of a beatdown against the Seattle Seahawks. Brissett still threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns, scoring 19.4 fantasy points. He has at least 19.0 fantasy points in every game this season.

Brissett has shown a connection with both Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride, which was undoubtedly another reason to elevate him to the team’s starter. If healthy, Brissett is guaranteed at least three more starts against solid opponents in San Francisco, Jacksonville, and Tampa Bay in Weeks 11 to 14.

Two-QB Waiver Wire Pickups and Stashes

Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons- 22% rostered

Michael Penix Jr.’s season of highs and lows continued again in Week 10. Penix followed up a 22.7-point performance against a stout Patriots defense in Week 9 with a 10.9-point dud against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11.

Penix struggled with accuracy throughout the game, consistently missing his wide receivers. However, he did have his fourth straight game without an interception. At least the young quarterback’s mistakes aren’t due to being careless with the football.

The Falcons have a rematch against the Panthers in Week 11. Carolina’s defense has been playing better, but had their best game of the season against Atlanta in Week 3. Penix has played much better since that game and will hopefully be able to provide streaming potential for fantasy managers.

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins- 19% rostered

Miami had the most surprising result in Week 10, pulling off a dominant 30-13 upset over the Buffalo Bills.

Unfortunately, the big win did not yield a big fantasy performance for Tua Tagovailoa. The veteran quarterback threw for just 173 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in the win, scoring 10.8 fantasy points. He has fewer than 11.0 fantasy points in four of his last five games after his 10.8 point effort in Week 11.

Tagovailoa and the Dolphins could have an offensive get-right game in Week 11 against the Washington Commanders. Washington has allowed at least 250 passing yards in their last five games. They’ve also given up 14 passing touchdowns during that time while generating just three interceptions.

Tyrod Taylor, New York Jets- 1% rostered

Justin Fields would have been benched in Week 10 if Tyrod Taylor hadn’t suffered a knee injury. That game against the Bengals was the Jets' first win with Fields doing enough (65% completion rate for 244 yards and one touchdown with 11 carries for 31 yards) to earn another start in Week 11.

Unfortunately, it was another terrible passing effort for the Jets’ offense.

Fields completed just six of 11 passes for 54 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also had a mediocre day as a rusher (seven carries for 28 yards), leading to an 8.9 fantasy point performance.

Fields now has fewer than 60 passing yards and a sub-55% completion percentage in three of his last four games. His greatest asset, his elite rushing ability, hasn’t even been a weapon for him this season. Fields has fewer than 50 rushing yards in five straight games despite rushing at least seven times in five of his last six games.

The Jets were already prepared to go to Taylor earlier this season before the knee injury. It’s possible that Fields gets one more start in Week 11 due to a short week, but that matchup against the Patriots could be the final nail in his 2025 coffin.

Taylor could be the starting quarterback for the Jets with strong fantasy matchups in Week 12 (Baltimore), Week 14 (Miami), and Week 15 (Jacksonville).
