It's Unclear Whether Josh Berry's 1.5-Mile Oval Speed Will Transfer to Michigan, but It Looks Likely
June 8, 2025
Todd Gilliland of Front Row Motorsports will start 33rd for Sunday's FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Gilliland's starting position marks the third time in his Cup career where he will start from a position outside of the top 30 at Michigan. In three previous races at the site, the No. 34 Ford driver's best finish is 27th, and he collected positive place differential twice. Through 14 races so far this season, Gilliland has nine top-20 finishes and an average finish of 19.0. In practice, Gilliland ranked 19th in overall lap averages and 17th in 10 consecutive lap averages. Gilliland's Michigan history is unfavorable, but overall, his practice speeds and overall 2025 season-wide performance are decent for the salary. Although he is not the top recommendation for a value option since he does not offer as much speed as some, Gilliland is not a bad option for those looking for cap flexibility in DFS for all formats at $5,700 on DraftKings.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
