Kyle Freeland Hits 15-Day Injured List
Kyle Freeland (back) on the 15-day injured list prior to their game on Sunday. The 32-year-old is dealing with lower back stiffness. In a corresponding move, the Rockies promoted left-handed pitcher Carson Palmquist from Triple-A Albuquerque. Freeland has begun to find his footing following a slow start to the campaign. Over his last three outings, Freeland has posted a solid 2.95 ERA with a 1.04 WHIP. During this stretch (18 1/3 innings), Freeland has allowed just two walks but has only struck out 13 batters. Through 73 2/3 total innings, Freeland sits with a modest 5.13 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP. Given his struggles, he is not worth stashing on an IR spot while he is sidelined. Fantasy managers should expect Palmquist to see starting opportunities for the time being.Source: Colorado Rockies
The Colorado Rockies have placed left-handed pitcher Kentavious Caldwell-Pope on the Move to Memphis
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of the deal for guard Desmond Bane. The Grizzlies will also receive guard Cole Anthony, four unprotected first-round picks, and a first-round pick swap. The 32-year-old has bounced around the league since entering it in 2013, suiting up for the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers, and Washington Wizards. However, his stock rose after he helped the Denver Nuggets win a championship in 2023. KCP would go on to sign with the Magic last offseason. Unfortunately, he wasn't as productive, averaging 8.7 points. He also shot 34.2% from behind the arc, a significant decline from his final season in Denver. With that in mind, Caldwell-Pope could get more scoring opportunities in Memphis. His durability is also a plus for fantasy managers. Still, he isn't a consistent fantasy producer, although he'll likely have some solid showings throughout the 2025-26 campaign, regardless of his role.Source: Shams Charania
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Orlando Magic are trading guard Yandy Diaz Sitting on Sunday
Yandy Diaz is not in the starting lineup on Sunday when the Rays conclude a series against the New York Mets. Diaz has started in each of the past seven games but will be given a maintenance day on Sunday. Over this stretch, Diaz has posted a strong .433/.485/.733 slash line with one double, one triple, two home runs, and seven RBI. Instead, the Rays will give Jonathan Aranda the start at first base, which opens the DH spot for third baseman Junior Caminero. Fantasy managers should expect Diaz to return to the starting nine on Monday evening when they begin a divisional series against the Baltimore Orioles. The Rays are a strong option in DFS this afternoon, facing New York right-hander Griffin Canning, who enters this game holding a 3.22 ERA.Source: MLB.com
Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Cole Anthony Dealt to the Grizzlies
Cole Anthony from the Orlando Magic in exchange for guard Desmond Bane. The Grizzlies will also receive guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, four unprotected first-round picks, and a first-round pick swap. The 2020 No. 15 overall pick has spent his entire career in Orlando. His best season was in 2021-22, when he averaged 16.3 points per contest. However, Anthony amassed only 9.4 points in 67 games during the 2024-25 campaign, a substantial dip. Anthony could struggle to find a consistent role in Memphis, especially with Ja Morant, Scotty Pippen Jr., and Caldwell-Pope on the roster. Still, he may get an opportunity to get involved, considering Morant has had issues staying on the court over the years.Source: Shams Charania
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Memphis Grizzlies are acquiring guard DeMarcus Lawrence Making an Impression With his New Team
Source: ESPN.com - Brady Henderson
ESPN's Brady Henderson writes that Seattle Seahawks defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence has managed to make an impression on his new teammates and to set a tone with the younger ones despite the non-contact nature of spring practices. "We haven't been able to play next to each other or anything like that, but I think just the type of leadership and mindset that he brings to the team is just phenomenal," defensive tackle Leonard Williams said. "He's a dog. He speaks a lot, he plays hard. He's going into Year 12 and he's out there practicing harder than some of the rookies. So we're getting on the rookies saying, 'OK, this is an example. This guy's going into Year 12. He's got nothing to prove, but he's out there working his craft as hard as he can every day.'" The 33-year-old hasn't appeared limited at all this offseason after playing in just four games with Dallas in 2024 due to a foot ailment.Isaiah Simmons Being Used Exclusively as a Linebacker
Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky
Green Bay Packers linebacker Isaiah Simmons, the former eighth overall pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2020, was shuffled among linebacker, safety and nickel defensive back with the Cardinals and New York Giants and never excelled at any of those positions. Part of the reason he signed with the Packers was their willingness to let him play exclusively at linebacker. ESPN's Rob Demovsky writes that Simmons has had the chance to line up with the starters at linebacker during the offseason program, despite the fact that Green Bay is deep at the position. "Honestly I feel like this is the most comfortable in a system I've been since I've been in the league," Simmons said. It's a notable development for the former Clemson start, but it won't guarantee a career turnaround, especially if he's not playing regularly. The 26-year-old had a career-low 21 tackles in 17 games (one start) with the Giants in 2024.Tyler Mahle Placed on 15-Day Injured List
Tyler Mahle (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list prior to their contest on Sunday due to right shoulder soreness. In a corresponding move, the Rangers are promoting right-handed pitcher Kumar Rocker from Triple-A. Rocker will get the starting nod this afternoon as well. On Saturday, the team announced that the veteran was dealing with soreness and would likely hit the IL. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status while he remains out of action. The 30-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to the season, posting a 2.34 ERA with a 1.13 WHIP across 77 innings of work. During this stretch, he has only tallied 56 punchouts and held an 8.8% walk rate. While he remains out, Rocker should see several opportunities in the rotation.Source: Texas Rangers
The Texas Rangers have placed right-handed pitcher Evan Carter Starting on Sunday
Evan Carter (writ) is back in the starting nine on Sunday when the Rangers conclude a series against the Chicago White Sox. Carter was removed from Friday's game after suffering a wrist injury. While he was not expected to return this weekend, he was able to progress enough to get the nod in the series finale. Prior to his injury, the former top prospect was beginning to heat up at the plate, posting a stellar .556/.636/1.167 line with two doubles and three long balls over his last five contests. This afternoon, Carter will start in center field and bat in the five-hole. This afternoon, Carter and the Rangers are a strong play in DFS facing Chicago White Sox right-hander Aaron Civale. Civale enters this game holding a high 4.91 ERA.Source: MLB.com
Texas Rangers outfielder Travis Etienne Jr. the Jaguars Lead Back?
Travis Etienne Jr. opens the year as the team's lead back. However, Shipley also writes that Etienne, Tank Bigsby and rookies Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen will get some run at some point. Under a new coaching staff, many believed that Etienne's stock would continue to fall after another disappointing showing in 2024, when he had career-lows across the board in carries (150), rushing yards (558) and touchdowns (two) while catching 39 of 52 targets for 254 yards through the air in 15 starts. That could still be the case, especially since the former first-rounder now has to fight off a pair of rookies in addition to Bigsby. Etienne has fallen all the way to No. 35 in RotoBaller's preseason rankings for 2025, but he still has a chance to prove himself in a new offense as the RB1.Source: SI.com - John Shipley
SI.com's John Shipley guesses that Jacksonville Jaguars running back Luis Robert Jr. Scratched with Thumb Soreness
Luis Robert Jr. (thumb) was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to thumb soreness. Instead, the White Sox will give Michael Taylor the starting nod in center field. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Robert's status leading up to their next game on Tuesday evening against the St. Louis Cardinals. Over his last eight games, Robert has begun to find his footing at the plate, posting a .300/.364/.467 slash line with two doubles, one home run, and eight RBI. Prior to this recent surge, Robert posted a low .177/.266/.286 line with six doubles and five home runs through his first 55 games of the campaign. Robert has generated a solid 11.8% barrel rate, which suggests he should continue to see his power numbers increase throughout the summer. This afternoon, the White Sox are a viable target in DFS facing Texas right-hander Kumar Rocker.Source: Jon Heyman
Chicago White Sox outfielder Desmond Bane Traded to Orlando

Byron Buxton Scratched from Sunday's Lineup
Byron Buxton (elbow) was a late scratch from Sunday's lineup when they concluded a series against the Houston Astros. Buxton was pulled from Saturday's contest after being hit by a pitch in the elbow. While he was initially in Sunday's lineup, the team will opt to exercise caution and give him an extra day off. Fantasy managers should continue to keep an eye on his status leading up to their next game on Tuesday against the Cincinnati Reds. Instead, the Twins will give Harrison Bader the starting nod in center field. Buxton has enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, holding a .273/.338/.502 line with 11 home runs and 12 stolen bases. He has generated a stellar 53.8% hard-hit rate with a .475 xSLG. The Twins are a viable target in DFS facing Houston left-hander Brandon Walter.Source: Minnesota Twins
Minnesota Twins outfielder Daniel Jones the Favorite in Colts QB Competition?
Anthony Richardson (shoulder) having a setback with his surgically-repaired right shoulder that caused him to miss OTAs and minicamp this spring, SI.com's Jake Arthur writes that it will still be an open QB competition in training camp this summer between Richardson and Daniel Jones. However, the Colts aren't going to rush Richardson back at the start of camp, which in theory gives Jones a leg up on the competition since he got all the reps at OTAs and minicamp. Arthur suggests Richardson would have to look outstanding in camp and the preseason, or Jones would have to lose control of the lead for Richardson to win the job outright heading into Week 1. With Jones having looked good, Arthur thinks it's hard to imagine how Jones isn't the current favorite. Richardson's injury issues are making it harder and harder for the Colts' staff to trust him.Source: SI.com - Jake Arthur
Despite Indianapolis Colts quarterback Paul Goldschmidt Not in Sunday's Lineup
Paul Goldschmidt is not in Sunday's lineup when they conclude a series against the Boston Red Sox. Instead, Ben Rice will cover first base and bat in the two-hole. The 37-year-old has been a staple in the New York starting nine throughout the campaign. Over his previous eight games, Goldschmidt has gone a bit cold at the plate, posting a .212/.297/.333 line with just one double and one home run. Through 69 total games, Goldschmidt has enjoyed a strong resurgence in the Bronx, holding a .309/.369/.453 line with seven home runs and five stolen bases. Under the hood, he has generated a solid .352 xwOBA. Fantasy managers should expect him to return to the lineup on Monday when they face the Angels. This afternoon, the Yankees are a strong target in DFS facing Boston right-hander Brayan Bello.Source: MLB.com
New York Yankees first baseman Kyle Tucker Resting on Sunday
Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker retreats to the bench for a rest day on Sunday against the division-rival Pittsburgh Pirates at Wrigley Field. It will be only the third time all season that Tucker finds himselfread more...
Brendan Donovan Returns to the Lineup
Brendan Donovan (toe) is back at the keystone and is batting leadoff for Sunday's series finale in Milwaukee against the division-rival Brewers and right-hander Quinn Priester. It will be Donovan's first game action since Tuesday after he was diagnosed with a sprained left big toe. The 28-year-old utility man will wear a carbon-fiber orthotic in his shoe going forward, but it remains to be seen if it will negatively impact his production at the plate. Despite having one of the slowest bats in baseball, Donovan has hit .310 (77-for-248) on the year and has an expected batting average of .304 thanks to the consistent contact he makes. There's little fantasy upside otherwise, though, as the German infielder doesn't really provide power or speed. He has one hit and an RBI in three career at-bats versus Priester.Source: MLB.com
St. Louis Cardinals second baseman Isaac Paredes Missing Third Straight Game on Sunday
Isaac Paredes (hamstring) remains on the bench for Sunday's series finale against the visiting Minnesota Twins at Daikin Park. Luis Guillorme will handle third base and will bat out of the nine-hole against Twins right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson. Paredes suffered a strained left hamstring in Thursday's win over the Chicago White Sox, but for now, the Astros aren't putting him on the injured list. The 26-year-old has been one of the team's most consistent producers on offense in his first year in Houston, so fantasy managers are certainly hoping he can return sooner than later. Paredes is slashing .255/.353/.478 with an .831 OPS, 15 homers, 42 RBI and 37 runs scored on the season. He should be stashed in all leagues if he does go on the IL. Guillorme is a light-hitting veteran infield utility man and should be avoided for DFS purposes.Source: MLB.com
Houston Astros third baseman Adley Rutschman Sitting Against Angels
Adley Rutschman is not in the team's starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the visiting Los Angeles Angels at Camden Yards. Gary Sanchez is behind the plate to catch right-hander Scott Blewett and will hit fifth against Angels left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. It will be Rutschman's first day off since June 1. The 27-year-old switch-hitting backstop has had a good month of June so far after a slow start to the 2025 season, going 15-for-41 (.366) with two homers, two doubles, four RBI and eight runs scored in 11 games. Although six of his seven homers on the year have come against right-handers, Rutschman has gone just 34-for-157 (.217) against them. His batted-ball metrics show that more positive regression should be on the way. Sanchez came off the injured list on Saturday and promptly homered in Saturday's win. He's hit .286 in seven career at-bats against Kikuchi.Source: MLB.com
Baltimore Orioles catcher Ryan O'Hearn Expects to be Back to Normal on Monday
Ryan O'Hearn (ankle) said his sore left ankle is feeling better on Sunday than it did on Saturday, but he'll remain out for the series finale on Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels. O'Hearn expects to be back to normal on Monday, which means he should be back in the lineup for the series opener in Tampa against the division-rival Rays. Coby Mayo is making another start at first and will hit seventh on Sunday against Angels left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. O'Hearn injured his ankle in Friday's win over the Halos, but it doesn't appear to be an injury that will send him to the injured list. The lefty slugger is having the best year of his career in his third year in Baltimore, slashing .310/.391/.502 with an .893 OPS, 10 home runs, 27 RBI, 28 runs and three steals in 58 games. Fantasy managers hope this injury won't slow him down.Source: MLB.com - Jake Rill
Baltimore Orioles first baseman Zach Agnos Optioned to Triple-A
Zach Agnos to Triple-A. In a corresponding move, the Rockies activated left-handed pitcher Austin Gomber (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list. Agnos made his MLB debut earlier this season and was quickly deployed in a high-leverage role. Through his first 8 2/3 innings of work, the No. 24-ranked prospect in the system posted a 3.2 ERA with a 0.92 WHIP. During this stretch, he tallied two saves and one hold. However, over his last 3 1/3 innings, Agnos has struggled, allowing six hits and 10 earned runs. Given his recent slump, the Rockies will opt for him to continue his development with Triple-A. While he heads back to the minor leagues, fantasy managers should expect Seth Halvorsen and Tyler Kinley to operate as the go-to options in save situations.Source: Colorado Rockies
The Colorado Rockies have optioned right-handed pitching prospect Austin Gomber Activated Ahead of Season Debut
Austin Gomber (shoulder) off the 60-day injured list prior to his season debut on Sunday afternoon against the Atlanta Braves. Gomber has been sidelined through the opening months of the campaign due to shoulder soreness. While he was initially expected to only miss a brief period, this injury began to linger. With Gomber reuniting, the Rockies shifted right-handed pitcher Ryan Feltner (back) to the 60-day IL and optioned right-handed pitcher Zach Agnos to Triple-A. Last season, Gomber logged 165 innings to the tune of a 4.75 ERA with a 1.31 WHIP. Across this stint, Gomber struck out just 116 batters and posted a solid 5.5% walk rate. Given his ability to limit hard contact, he is best to leave on the waiver wire when he faces the Braves this afternoon.Source: Colorado Rockies
The Colorado Rockies have activated left-handed pitcher Roman Anthony, Marcelo Mayer Sitting on Sunday
Roman Anthony and infielder Marcelo Mayer are not in Sunday's lineup when they face Yankee left-hander Max Fried. Anthony has only made one start against a left-hander since joining the major league roster. While Anthony could ultimately earn a full-time role in the Boston lineup, it appears the Red Sox are being cautious with his playing time and keeping him on the strong side of a platoon. Fellow top prospect Mayer has also been typically held out of action when facing left-handed pitching. Since joining the majors, Mayer has only made two starts against lefties. Despite the limited playing time, Mayer has begun to heat up, posting a strong .313 AVG over his last eight games. Anthony has held a low .063 AVG through his first five games. Fantasy managers should expect both budding stars to return to the lineup on Monday when they begin a series against the Seattle Mariners.Source: Chris Cotillo
Boston Red Sox outfielder Hunter Greene will Rehab in Arizona
Hunter Greene (groin) will report to Arizona to continue his rehab process. The right-hander was placed on the 15-day injured list with a Grade 1 groin strain earlier in June. Greene recently sought a second opinion on his strain. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he may not miss too much time if he can begin his rehab process soon. Before the injury, the hard-throwing right-hander was enjoying a strong start to the season, posting a stellar 2.72 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP. Across 59 2/3 innings of work, Greene struck out 73 batters while posting an excellent 5.9% walk rate. He also sits in the 87th percentile in xERA and xBA. While Greene remains sidelined, Wade Miley should continue to remain in the rotation.Source: MLB.com
Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Byron Buxton Starting on Sunday
Byron Buxton (elbow) is in Sunday's lineup when the Twins conclude a series against the Houston Astros. Buxton was removed from Saturday's game after being hit by a pitch, but was able to avoid a serious injury. This afternoon, Buxton will cover center field and will bat at the top of the batting order. Over his last 11 contests, the 31-year-old has been quite productive at the plate, posting a .306/.435/.472 slash line with three doubles and a home run. During this stretch, Buxton has tallied 11 RBI and swiped three bags. Through 54 games this season, Buxton has been quite productive, holding a .273/.338/.502 line with 11 home runs and 12 stolen bases. This afternoon, Buxton is a strong choice in DFS facing Houston left-hander Brandon Walter.Source: MLB.com
Minnesota Twins outfielder Steven Adams, Rockets Agree to Three-Year Contract Extension
Steven Adams agreed to a three-year, $39 million contract extension. The 31-year-old spent most of his career in Oklahoma City before making a stop in Memphis for two seasons. After missing the 2023-24 campaign due to knee surgery, he suited up for the Rockets last season. However, Adams averaged only 3.9 points and 5.6 rebounds in 58 regular-season appearances. He played a more prominent role in the postseason, amassing 5.7 points and 6.6 boards in 22.1 minutes (seven games). With Alperen Sengun on the roster, Adams' fantasy potential is significantly capped. Still, his leadership will go a long way in helping develop the young talent on the Rockets' roster.Source: Shams Charania
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Houston Rockets center Royce Lewis Hits 10-Day Injured List
Royce Lewis (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Sunday with a left hamstring strain. Lewis exited Friday's game with this hamstring strain and was held out of action on Saturday. This is Lewis' second hamstring strain of the campaign. The former first overall pick has dealt with numerous injuries throughout his young career. Through 30 games this season, Lewis has struggled at the plate, posting a .202/.282/.303 line with four doubles and two home runs. However, last season, Lewis was quite productive from a power perspective, posting a .747 OPS with 16 home runs in 82 games. In a corresponding move, the Twins promoted outfielder DaShawn Keirsey Jr. from Triple-A St. Paul. While Lewis remains out, fantasy managers should expect Brooks Lee and Willi Castro to cover the hot corner.Source: Minnesota Twins
Minnesota Twins third baseman Thomas Harrington Fans 10 in Latest Start at Triple-A
Thomas Harrington allowed two earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out 10 batters in six innings of work at Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday. It's the third straight quality start for the 23-year-old, pitching to a 2.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and an 18:8 K:BB over 18 IP over that time. With some earlier struggles, including one outing in which he allowed nine earned runs, the righty owns a 5.46 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and a 12.2 percent K-BB% through 11 starts (56 IP). The Pirates' third-ranked prospect (MLB No. 80) made two starts with the big league club in early April, and while they didn't go well, the 6-foot-2 hurler surely will get another shot at some point this season. Until then, however, he is not worth stashing in season-long leagues.Source: MiLB.com
Pittsburgh Pirates pitching prospect Jordan Lawlar Homers, Swipes Two Bases on Saturday
Jordan Lawlar went 1-for-5 on Saturday, smacking his ninth home run of the season, walking once, and swiping two bags for Triple-A Reno. The D-backs' top-ranked prospect has hit safely in nine of 12 games since being demoted back on May 29, slashing .288/.383/.596 with three doubles, two triples, three home runs, and three steals during that time. It should only be a matter of time before he gets another shot with the big league club, but hopefully the next time around, there will be regular at-bats available so that he can stay in rhythm. Despite struggling during his brief stints in the majors, there is still 20/20 potential here in the future, although the 22-year-old doesn't warrant stashing in most redraft leagues at this point.Source: MiLB.com
Arizona Diamondbacks infield prospect Cam Collier Hits First Home Run Since Activation Off the Injured List
Cam Collier went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run on Saturday for High-A Dayton. The 20-year-old injured his thumb in the preseason and completed a rehab assignment with the team's Arizona Complex League affiliate, finally getting activated off the IL on June 3. Since then, the Reds' fourth-ranked prospect (MLB No. 71) has gone on to hit .306 (11-for-36) with a double, a home run, and a 5:7 BB:K in 10 games played thus far. The left-handed slugger is coming off a 20-homer campaign at High-A in 2024, and with a 13.0 percent walk rate, he posted a strong .355 OBP. With a good showing at High-A, he should be on his way to Double-A Chattanooga in no time, and MLB.com's top prospects list estimates an MLB debut next year. If that comes to fruition, his 60-grade power could be a fantasy asset, although he's not a factor in the stolen base department.Source: MiLB.com
Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Ty Dillon Is a Respectable Cap Flexiblity-Focused DFS Option For Mexico City
Source: DriverAverages.com
Kaulig Racing's Ty Dillon will start 28th after qualifying for the Viva Mexico 250 at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. This will be Dillon's first top-30 starting position at a road course race since Sonoma back in June 2023. In 13 road course races since 2022, Dillon has three top-20 finishes, all of which were scored in 2022 while driving for Petty GMS Racing. Through 15 races so far this season, Dillon has six top-20 finishes and an average finish of 22.5. In first practice, Dillon ranked 25th in five consecutive lap averages and 23rd in the same statistic during final practice. While it is generally recommended to play drivers at higher price points as they're likely to have better performing cars and a better finish than Dillon, he is a decent and playable choice for DFS lineups if cap flexibility is needed.
