Zach Thompson

311 articles

Zach has been covering fantasy sports across multiple platforms and websites since 2008, and he's been playing fantasy sports since the late 90s, when he totaled the fantasy scores from the box scores in the newspaper. He has covered a variety of sports from a fantasy perspective, including the main ones like baseball, basketball, golf, football, and hockey, while also jumping into some more exotic options like Australian Rules Football and rugby. Basically, any sport that has a fantasy format--he'll play it! Even though he grew up almost 8,000 miles away in Guam, he was raised a diehard Boston sports fan. After playing soccer competitively throughout high school and college, Zach now lives in central Massachusetts with his wife and four children. He attends as many games in as many sports as possible and has found a passion for watching minor league baseball and tracking player development. Zach specializes in finding bargain plays from obscure spots, and nothing is sweeter than when a low ownership bargain option carries your fantasy team to the win!

Trey Benson - Fantasy Football Rankings, RB, NFL Draft Sleepers,

When Will Trey Benson Return and Be Back? Fantasy Football Injury Update for Week 15 (2025)

Second-year running back Trey Benson showed some very positive signs early this season that he could be a breakout performer if he got enough of the Arizona timeshare from veteran James Conner. Conner went down with a season-ending injury, opening the door for a Benson breakout. Unfortunately, though, Benson sustained an injury the very next […]

Dru Smith Will Be Available Tuesday

Miami Heat guard Dru Smith (hip) got a spot start on Saturday but was listed as questionable for Tuesday's NBA Cup Quarterfinal contest with the Magic. Smith was upgraded to available, but he'll likely return to the bench with Tyler Herro (toe) and Davion Mitchell (groin) ready to return after missing Saturday's game. In his […]

Pelle Larsson Will Be Available Against Orlando

Miami Heat guard/forward Pelle Larsson (hip) was listed as probable but has been upgraded to available for Tuesday's NBA Cup Quarterfinal game against the Magic, along with Davion Mitchell and Tyler Herro. Larsson has played 23 games (16 starts) this season and is averaging 9.0 points, 3.3 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 22.4 minutes per game. […]

Davion Mitchell Listed as Available for Tuesday

Miami Heat guard Davion Mitchell (groin) missed his team's game on Sunday, but he'll be able to return to action on Tuesday, as expected when he was given the probable tag. Mitchell's return will be just in time for the NBA Cup Quarterfinals contest against the Magic on Tuesday night, when Tyler Herro (toe) will […]

Tyler Herro Will Be Available Tuesday Against the Magic

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (toe) will be able to return as expected when the Heat visit the Magic in an NBA Cup Quarterfinals contest on Tuesday night. He was listed as probable but upgraded to available on Tuesday afternoon. Herro was able to practice on Monday after missing two games, and his return will […]

Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun Likely Out Until After Christmas

Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and guard Christian Braun (ankle) are not expected to return until after Christmas, per coach David Adelman. When asked about Gordon and Braun's recovery, Adelman said, "I would imagine they celebrate the holiday without playing, but we'll see." Braun was given a six-week timeline about four weeks ago, so […]

Immanuel Quickley Downgraded to Questionable Tuesday

Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley (illness) was downgraded to questionable on Tuesday afternoon before his team faces the Knicks in the NBA Cup Quarterfinals. Quickley played through the same illness on Sunday and logged 31 minutes against Boston with 11 points and five assists. Since Jamal Shead (quad) is also questionable, the Raptors could be […]

J.J. McCarthy Back on Track?

Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy led his team to a 31-0 rout of the Commanders in Week 14 in a triumphant return from injury. He threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns in the win while adding 19 rushing yards on six carries as well. McCarthy completed 16 of his 23 pass attempts in one […]

Rhamondre Stevenson Still a Strong RB Option?

New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson missed three weeks with a toe injury, allowing rookie TreVeyon Henderson to go off and become a fantasy star. Stevenson played two games before the team's bye week, though, and he still clearly has a significant role in the offense. In Week 13 against the Giants, he outsnapped […]

Theo Johnson Is a Top Tight End Addition This Week

New York Giants tight end Theo Johnson will return from his team's bye week and look to continue his solid season, working as one of the top targets for Jaxson Dart. Johnson has at least three catches in seven straight games and has totaled 42 catches for 456 yards and five touchdowns in his 13 […]

Jerry Jeudy Back on the Fantasy Radar?

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has proven he can have massive games in the past, and the first-round pick had one of his best games of the season in Week 14 against the Titans. He only had three catches but racked up 76 yards and a long touchdown from Shedeur Sanders, who looked like […]

Kyle Monangai Can Give Your RB Depth a Boost

Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai is getting enough work to be a solid pickup from the waiver wire if you need running back help this week. Against the Packers in Week 14, Monangai played 29 snaps (41%) and finished with a team-high 14 carries for 57 yards while adding one catch for no yards […]

Philip Rivers "Threw the Ball Well" at Colts Facility

Free agent quarterback Philip Rivers visited the Colts on Monday night and "threw the ball well," according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Rivers turned 44 on Monday as well, and he hasn't played in the NFL since 2020, when he started 16 games for the Colts. On Sunday, the Colts lost Daniel Jones (Achilles) for the […]

Marvin Harrison Jr. - Fantasy Football Rankings, WR, Waiver Wire, NFL DFS, Rookies

When Will Marvin Harrison Jr. Return and Be Back? Fantasy Football Injury Update for Week 15 (2025)

The Arizona Cardinals have been throwing the ball at an extremely high rate with Jacoby Brissett starting in place of Kyler Murray. The heavy volume has resulted in plenty of chances for pass-catchers to make an impact. As the fantasy football playoffs get underway, figuring out who will catch passes in Arizona is a priority […]

Jayden Higgins Remains Texans Second Receiver

Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins hauled in three of his five targets for 34 yards in his team's low-scoring, 20-14 win over the Chiefs on Sunday night. Higgins finished second on the team in receiving yards and targets behind only Nico Collins. Running back Woody Marks caught the only touchdown pass of the day […]

Woody Marks Carries the Load as Texans Triumph

Houston Texans running back Woody Marks had already taken over most of the work in the team's backfield coming into Sunday night's matchup with the Chiefs, but with Nick Chubb (rib) leaving early, Marks got even more work. The rookie finished with a season-high 26 carries for 68 rushing yards and added two catches on […]

Dare Ogunbowale Gets Into the End Zone on Sunday Night Football

Houston Texans running back Dare Ogunbowale only had one carry on Sunday against the Chiefs, but he took that carry five yards for one of the team's two touchdowns of the night. The Texans extended their winning streak with a huge 20-10 win on the road in Kansas City, and Ogunbowale was more involved than […]

Darren Waller Doesn't Get Much Going Against New York

Miami Dolphins tight end Darren Waller played 37% of snaps on Sunday against the Jets but only finished with one catch for 13 yards on his three targets. The Dolphins' other tight end, Greg Dulcich, caught all three of his targets for 41 yards while playing 54% of snaps. It was a disappointing showing for […]

Jaylen Waddle Scores a Touchdown in Dolphins' Win

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle secured five of his team-high seven targets to lead the team in receiving yards with 50 and also scored the only receiving touchdown of the day for Miami in the team's 34-10 triumph in New York. Waddle has six scores this season, and he continues to operate as the […]

Ollie Gordon II Finds the End Zone in Week 14

Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II scored his third rushing touchdown of the season on Sunday in his team's 34-10 win over the Jets. The rookie punched home a seven-yard rush in the fourth quarter and finished with five carries for 17 yards on the day. With De'Von Achane (rib) leaving the game early, […]

C.J. Stroud is a Fringe QB2 in Kansas City

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud got a big win over the Colts in his return from a concussion last week, and he'll be in another huge matchup this week against the tough Chiefs' defense on Sunday Night Football. Stroud completed 22 of 35 passes for 276 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in last […]

Nick Chubb a Touchdown-Dependent Deep-League Play

Houston Texans running back Nick Chubb has settled in as a change-of-pace option in the Texans' backfield, playing behind rookie Woody Marks, but he still does get enough work to be on the radar in very deep formats. He had his third touchdown of the season in last week's win over the Colts, finishing with […]

Woody Marks Is a Flex Option Against the Chiefs

Houston Texans running back Woody Marks has taken over most of the work in the backfield for the Texans, so he'll be a solid flex play on Sunday Night Football in Kansas City. Marks played 54% of snaps last week and led the team with 64 rushing yards on 19 carries against the Colts. The […]

Christian Kirk Slipping in the Texans' Rotation

Houston Texans wide receiver Christian Kirk still played about half of the team's snaps last week against the Colts, but did not have a catch or a target in the team's 20-16 victory. He'll be in a tough matchup this week on Sunday Night Football against the Chiefs, making him an option best left on […]

Jayden Higgins Can Be a Deep-League Flex Option

Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins is having a strong second half to his rookie season, and he has emerged as enough of a threat to be on the radar in deep leagues. The early second-round pick has emerged as the team's second receiver behind Nico Collins in the last few weeks and has at […]

Nico Collins Is a WR1 in Sunday Night's Matchup

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins should continue to get plenty of targets as his team faces an important matchup in Week 14 against the Chiefs, as both teams try to stay in the playoff race heading into the final few weeks of the regular season. Collins has drawn at least 10 targets in five […]

Cade Stover Adds an Interesting Element But Remains Off the Radar

Houston Texans tight end Cade Stover had a new role in Week 13, serving as the team's short-yardage specialist and taking four carries for three yards in addition to catching both of his targets for 16 yards as the team's second tight end. Stover's four carries came on 3rd- or 4th-and-one situations, and he converted […]

Dalton Schultz Is a Streaming Option in Week 14

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz is a solid fill-in or streaming play when he visits the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football if you're searching for a solution at the position this week. Schultz hasn't been an elite option this year, but he has posted very steady numbers, especially in PPR leagues. The eighth-year veteran […]

Can the Texans D/ST Deliver Again?

The Houston Texans D/ST will face a tough matchup in Week 14 as they travel to Kansas City to face Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. They are still a strong starting option, although they aren't in an elite matchup to deliver a big total. Last week, the Texans held the Colts to 16 points but […]

Ka'imi Fairbairn Is a Solid Starter in Kansas City

Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn and the Texans have a huge game this week against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Fairbairn made two field goals and two extra points in his team's win over the Colts, which extended his streak to seven straight games with multiple field-goal makes. In his 10 games […]
