1403 articles

Zach has been covering fantasy sports across multiple platforms and websites since 2008, and he's been playing fantasy sports since the late 90s, when he totaled the fantasy scores from the box scores in the newspaper. He has covered a variety of sports from a fantasy perspective, including the main ones like baseball, basketball, golf, football, and hockey, while also jumping into some more exotic options like Australian Rules Football and rugby. Basically, any sport that has a fantasy format--he'll play it! Even though he grew up almost 8,000 miles away in Guam, he was raised a diehard Boston sports fan. After playing soccer competitively throughout high school and college, Zach now lives in central Massachusetts with his wife and four children. He attends as many games in as many sports as possible and has found a passion for watching minor league baseball and tracking player development. Zach specializes in finding bargain plays from obscure spots, and nothing is sweeter than when a low ownership bargain option carries your fantasy team to the win!

Houston Texans D/ST Is an Elite Play Against the Raiders

The Houston Texans defense has been outstanding all season, and they're in an awesome matchup this week against the struggling Raiders. The Texans are the No. 1 DST in RotoBaller's Week 16 rankings and make a great start in all formats. Houston has forced 24 turnovers and racked up 38 sacks while holding opponents to […]

Dalton Schultz Is a Strong Start Against the Raiders

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz has emerged as a top-10 tight end this season as one of the primary options in his team's passing attack. Even though the Raiders have been good against the position this season, Schultz has been consistent enough to still be a good option for your fantasy lineups in standard-sized […]

Christian Kirk Is Not On the Fantasy Radar This Week

Houston Texans wide receiver Christian Kirk (illness) has a questionable tag for Sunday's matchup against the Raiders after missing practice on Friday. The veteran slot receiver has been in a minimal role lately for the Texans, playing just 16 snaps on offense in Week 15 against the Cardinals and not getting a target. He only […]

Jayden Higgins Is Only a Deep League Flex Option

Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins has established himself as the team's secondary wide receiver behind Nico Collins, but he remains a very volatile play from week-to-week since the team prefers to rely on its defense and running the ball instead of airing it out. Higgins only had one catch for four yards last week […]

Nico Collins Is a Strong Start Against Las Vegas

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins had his first multi-touchdown game of the season last week, hauling in three of his four targets for 85 yards and two scores. He has at least three catches in each of his 13 games this season and has racked up 1,001 receiving yards to go with his seven […]

Jawhar Jordan Is in an Uncertain Role in Week 16

Houston Texans running back Jawhar Jordan had an impressive NFL debut last week, taking 15 carries for 101 rushing yards against the Cardinals. The sixth-round pick from the 2024 NFL Draft out of Louisville had yet to make an NFL appearance until last week, and despite his impressive debut, it's not clear what his role […]

Nick Chubb Could Return Against the Raiders

Houston Texans running back Nick Chubb (ribs) is questionable for this week's home game against Las Vegas, but he was able to get in full practices on Thursday and Friday, so he's trending towards being able to return. He could end up as the primary running back, depending on the status of Woody Marks (ankle), […]

Woody Marks Questionable Against the Raiders

Houston Texans running back Woody Marks (ankle) was set up for success last week, but he was forced to leave the game after just seven carries. If he does play, he'll be a strong option against the Raiders, but the Texans will be cautious with their rookie rusher. Last week, before his injury, he ran […]

C.J. Stroud Is a Fringe Starter Against the Raiders

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud has helped the Texans to six straight wins and is coming off one of his best games of the season. He'll look to keep rolling in a favorable spot against the visiting Raiders on Sunday in the late wave of games. Stroud threw for three touchdowns and 260 yards last […]

Darren Waller Is a Solid Start in Week 16

Miami Dolphins tight end Darren Waller caught a pair of touchdown passes in his team's Monday Night Football loss to the Steelers, giving him six touchdowns in just six full games this season. He's in a great matchup this week against the Bengals, who allow more fantasy points to tight ends than any other team […]

Malik Washington Is Not a Strong Start Against Cincinnati

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington has shown flashes of play-making ability and good upside, and he has clearly been the team's second receiver behind Jaylen Waddle. However, his production has been inconsistent overall, and he'll be working with a new QB in a tough matchup this week, so he's not a strong fantasy option […]

Jaylen Waddle a WR3 While Working With a New Quarterback

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has clearly been the Dolphins' go-to wide receiver since Tyreek Hill (knee) sustained a season-ending injury, but this week against the Bengals, he'll be working with a new QB, which makes him much higher risk. Last week against the Steelers, Waddle only managed two catches for 26 yards in […]

NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (12/20)

Welcome back, RotoBallers! This Saturday night, the NBA has 10 games on the schedule as the regular pace of the schedule resumes after some light nights for NBA Cup action. Of the 10 games, DraftKings has six on the main slate and three on the night slate, while FanDuel will include nine on its main […]

Jaylen Wright Back to Minimal Role

Miami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright had a monster game against the Jets in Week 14, running for 107 rushing yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. In Week 15, though, he only had one carry for two yards and one reception for nine yards. Wright didn't get more work, even with Ollie Gordon II […]

Ollie Gordon II Will be Available Against the Bengals

Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II had to leave with an ankle injury midway through the second quarter of Monday's loss to the Steelers, but he was able to participate fully in practice this week and avoid an injury tag for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Gordon was injured on his second carry of […]

De'Von Achane Ready to Run Wild?

Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane is in an excellent matchup against the Bengals this week. Cincinnati has allowed the most fantasy points to running backs this season, allowing 18 RB touchdowns in 14 games, along with an average of 129.1 rushing yards and 45.6 receiving yards. Achane should be ready for a monster performance, […]

Quinn Ewers Is Not a Strong Fantasy Play in His NFL Debut

Miami Dolphins quarterback Quinn Ewers will be making his first NFL start this week, when his team hosts the Bengals on Sunday afternoon. Ewers was a seventh-round pick for the Dolphins out of Texas last season, and the 22-year-old will now get a chance to make his first NFL start. He played a few series […]

Darren Waller - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Kyle Pitts Sr., Darren Waller, Harold Fannin Jr.: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 16

It's crunch time in most fantasy football seasons, and with critical games this weekend, every lineup decision is vital to your success. At tight end, some strong options have emerged over the last few weeks, but should they be in your lineup this week? In this article, we will see if recent top performers Kyle […]

Norman Powell Upgraded to Probable

Miami Heat guard/forward Norman Powell (calf) was upgraded from questionable to probable on Thursday before his team visits the Nets. Powell also said he'll play, so he should be ready to roll in what should be a favorable matchup for him in the absence of Tyler Herro (toe). Powell has scored at least 20 points […]

Lauri Markkanen Ruled Out Thursday

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (groin) will not play Thursday night when the Jazz host the Lakers. While there doesn't seem to be a significant injury, he will get a maintenance day after scoring at least 26 points in four of his last five games and leading the Jazz to victories in all four of […]

LaMelo Ball Upgraded to Probable for Thursday

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle) was listed as questionable for Thursday night's home game against the Hawks, but he was upgraded to probable on Thursday afternoon and should be ready to go against Trae Young (knee), who is also lined up to return, according to the latest reports. Ball has missed three games with […]

Trae Young Will Play Thursday Against the Hornets

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (knee) will be able to return on Thursday night as his team takes on the Hornets in Charlotte. Young hasn't played since Oct. 29, so he'll likely be on a heavy minutes restriction. The Hawks are also on the front half of a back-to-back, so he'll probably sit out Friday's […]

Gabe Vincent Will Miss at Least a Week

Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent (back) will be re-evaluated in a week after being diagnosed with lower back tightness. Vincent has played 14 games for the Lakers (six starts), but he is averaging only 4.7 points, 1.4 assists, and 0.9 rebounds per game in 21.5 minutes per game. With Austin Reaves (calf) also sidelined, […]

J.J. McCarthy Emerging as a Viable Deep-League Option

Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy had a rough start to the season, with mistakes and injuries keeping him from being a fantasy option in almost all formats. In the last few weeks, though, the Michigan man has found a very nice groove while leading his team to wins over the Commanders and Cowboys. On Sunday […]

Tyler Allgeier Best Left for Deep Leagues

Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier continues to share time with Bijan Robinson, which makes him a high-risk play in standard leagues. Allgeier only had two carries for 18 rushing yards against the Bucs in Week 15. He had averaged double-digit carries for the previous three weeks with a touchdown and 98 rushing yards, but […]

Chris Godwin Should Be Back on the Fantasy Radar

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. has stepped back into a meaningful role after missing five games with a fibula injury earlier this season. Godwin has worked his way back into the mix, with 12 catches over the last three games for a total of 153 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown came […]

Jerry Jeudy Can Be a Boom-or-Bust Receiver Addition

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy still has plenty of big-play potential and is getting chances in his team's passing game. Jeudy has 16 targets in the four games since Shedeur Sanders took over at quarterback, and he caught two of his four targets in Week 15 for 22 yards. He had 76 yards and […]

Sean Tucker Is a Touchdown-Reliant Flex Pickup

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker isn't the primary running back for the Buccaneers, like he was during his breakout performances, but he is still getting enough work to have touchdown-dependent fantasy value. Tucker has found the end zone in each of the last two weeks, taking seven carries for 29 yards against the […]

Romeo Doubs Can be a Deep-League Addition

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs could get more work in the coming weeks, depending on the status of Christian Watson (chest). Watson left the team's loss to the Broncos after landing hard on his left shoulder while battling cornerback Patrick Surtain II for a jump ball. He was taken by ambulance to a […]

Riley Patterson Is a Shaky Start in Pittsburgh

Miami Dolphins kicker Riley Patterson has been solid but not spectacular this season, while filling in for Jason Sanders (hip), who remains on IR. Patterson has made 23 of his 25 field goal attempts and 28 of his 29 extra point attempts. He didn't have any issues on the road in the cold against the […]
