1494 articles

Zach has been covering fantasy sports across multiple platforms and websites since 2008, and he's been playing fantasy sports since the late 90s, when he totaled the fantasy scores from the box scores in the newspaper. He has covered a variety of sports from a fantasy perspective, including the main ones like baseball, basketball, golf, football, and hockey, while also jumping into some more exotic options like Australian Rules Football and rugby. Basically, any sport that has a fantasy format--he'll play it! Even though he grew up almost 8,000 miles away in Guam, he was raised a diehard Boston sports fan. After playing soccer competitively throughout high school and college, Zach now lives in central Massachusetts with his wife and four children. He attends as many games in as many sports as possible and has found a passion for watching minor league baseball and tracking player development. Zach specializes in finding bargain plays from obscure spots, and nothing is sweeter than when a low ownership bargain option carries your fantasy team to the win!

Giants Aggressively Pursuing Second-Base Options

The San Francisco Giants are looking to fill in their infield with another strong bat this offseason, and they are aggressively pursuing an addition at second base, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan. Passan mentions both the Cubs' Nico Hoerner and the Cardinals' Brendan Donovan as options they have been engaged about recently. Last offseason, the […]

Jax Biggers Signs Minor-League Deal With the Astros

Free-agent shortstop Jax Biggers has signed a minor-league contract with the Houston Astros after spending the first seven seasons of his career in the Rangers' system. Biggers hit only .214 in 79 games in Double-A and Triple-A last season with one home run and 11 stolen bases. He showed more upside in 2024, posting a […]

Bryan Sammons Signs With Tigers

Free-agent pitcher Bryan Sammons is coming back to the United States after spending last year in Japan. The 30-year-old lefty went 5-5 in 16 games (15 starts) for the Chiba Lotte Marines of Nippon Professional Baseball last year, posting a 3.78 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and 7.7 K/9. He made six appearances out of the bullpen […]

Could Matt Shaw Be on the Move?

Chicago Cubs third baseman Matt Shaw could lose playing time after the signing of Alex Bregman, or the team could look to move him in a trade. There was initial speculation that the team could move the top prospect to 2B and look to trade Nico Hoerner, but The Athletic's Keith Law reported that Shaw […]

Christian Walker's Trade Market "Almost Non-Existent"

Houston Astros first baseman Christian Walker seems to be in an overcrowded situation in Houston, but according to Chandler Rome of The Athletic, there isn't much interest in him on the open market. The Astros have Carlos Correa back in the mix, most likely at 3B, with Yordan Alvarez locked in as DH for most […]

NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (1/12/26)

The NBA continues a busy start to 2026 with a six-game schedule on Monday night. Both DraftKings and FanDuel feature the first four of those games on the main slate, and the two West Coast games as part of separate late-night contests. In this post, we'll focus on the four games on the main slate, […]

Corey Kispert Will Not Return Wednesday

Washington Wizards guard/forward Corey Kispert (hamstring) will not be ready to return when the Wizards take on the Bucks on Wednesday. It has been a rough few months for Kispert, who missed 10 games with a thumb injury and then played only 13 minutes before leaving with hamstring tightness in his first game back. This […]

Kyshawn George Will Not Play Wednesday Against the Bucks

Washington Wizards forward Kyshawn George (hip) will miss a third straight game while dealing with a hip flexor injury when his team visits the Bucks on New Year's Eve. George is averaging 15.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.0 steals per game in 31.9 minutes per game in his second season in the NBA. […]

Vince Williams Jr. Remains Out Tuesday

Memphis Grizzlies guard/forward Vince Williams Jr. (knee) is out for Tuesday's game against the 76ers, making it six straight games the versatile contributor has missed with this lingering left knee injury. Since Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (hamstring) is also out, there will be even more time available on the wings for Cedric Coward and Jaylen Wells, as […]

Caris LeVert Ruled Out on Tuesday Against the Lakers

Detroit Pistons guard Caris LeVert (knee) was downgraded from doubtful to out on Tuesday afternoon before his team faces the Lakers in Los Angeles. He sustained the injury on Sunday in the third quarter against the Clippers. At this point, it's just being described as "soreness," so it may not be a long-term issue. On […]

Keegan Murray Will Be Available on Tuesday

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (calf) was originally questionable but was upgraded to available for Tuesday's matchup against the Clippers. He was expected to miss a week when the injury was initially announced last Friday, but he's ahead of schedule and will be back on the floor this Tuesday. Murray is averaging 14.9 points, 6.4 […]

Nikola Jokic Out for At Least Four Weeks

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic seems to have avoided major injury, but he will still be out for at least a month. After leaving Monday's game against Miami, Jokic was diagnosed with a hyperextension in his left knee. While he will miss at least four weeks, tests show that his knee ligaments are intact. Jokic […]

Dalton Schultz Is a Strong Streamer Against Indianapolis

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz has been a solid PPR contributor this season, and he can be a great plug-and-play option in Week 18 if he's available on the waiver wire. Schultz and the rest of the Texans' starters will be playing in their Week 18 game against the Colts, according to coach DeMeco […]

Kyle Monangai a Great Waiver-Wire Option if Available

Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai is still getting plenty of work in the backfield, and he's a strong grab if he's on the waiver wire as the Bears continue to push for the second seed in the NFC. Monangai had eight carries and three catches against the 49ers, totaling 38 rushing yards and nine […]

Can Bryce Young Be a Streaming QB in a Huge Divisional Game?

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has a chance to get his team to the playoffs, as he looks to bounce back from a rough outing last week against the Seahawks. He only managed 54 passing yards and also threw an interception in tough weather conditions in his team's Week 17 home loss. The 8-8 Panthers […]

Riley Leonard Will Start Against the Texans

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Riley Leonard is expected to start in Week 18 against the Houston Texans after backing up Philip Rivers for the last three games. Even though the Colts were officially eliminated from the playoff hunt with Houston's win over the Chargers last Saturday, the team gave Rivers the start in Week 16 against […]

Kyle Williams Is Finishing His Rookie Season Strong

New England Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams is stepping into a larger role for the Patriots, as his first season in the NFL comes to a close this week against the Dolphins. The rookie led all Patriots' receivers by playing 85% of snaps in Week 17, which was his highest mark of the season. He […]

Is Harold Fannin Jr. Out For The Season? Injury Update On Coming Back For Fantasy Football (Week 18)

Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannin Jr. has been one of the best players at the position for the last few weeks and has emerged as a favorite target for quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Sanders has played well enough since taking over as Browns starter to get the nod in Week 18, but it isn't clear […]

Darren Waller Can Be a TE Sleeper in Week 17

Miami Dolphins tight end Darren Waller is working with a rookie QB in Quinn Ewers, so he has a wide range of possible outcomes this week at home against the Buccaneers. Waller has shown he still has a nose for the end zone with six touchdowns in eight games, but Ewers is still looking for […]

Malik Washington Is a Shaky Play Against the Buccaneers

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington scored his fourth touchdown of the season last week against the Bengals, taking a nine-yard rush to the end zone in the second quarter. However, he has been in an extremely limited role the last few weeks, catching only one pass on one target in back-to-back contests. The Buccaneers […]

Jaylen Wright Looking for Another Opportunity

Miami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright seems to have taken over as the team's primary backup behind De'Von Achane. He played 18 snaps last week compared to just three for rookie Ollie Gordon II, and Wright added a garbage-time touchdown while taking his nine carries for 35 yards and catching one of his two targets […]

Jaylen Waddle Is a WR2 in Week 17

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has been the team's top option since Tyreek Hill's season-ending injury, and he'll be a solid second receiver in standard-sized leagues this week as his team hosts the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Waddle had five catches on nine targets for 72 yards in last week's loss to the Bengals, which […]

De'Von Achane Remains a Top Running Back Play in Week 17

Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane is once again a top-ten starting option this week as his team hosts the Bucs. Rookie Quinn Ewers will make his second straight start at quarterback for Miami, and last week Achane had 81 rushing yards and nine receiving yards in support of the rookie in the team's 45-21 […]

Ollie Gordon II Not Getting Much Work in Miami

Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II has flashed touchdown-dependent upside in his rookie season, but he's battled an ankle injury and fallen down the depth chart in the last few weeks, playing behind Jaylen Wright. Gordon only played three snaps last week against the Bengals, compared to 18 for Wright. He also lost a […]

Quinn Ewers Only a Very Deep League Option in Second NFL Start

Miami Dolphins quarterback Quinn Ewers will make his second career start on Sunday when the Dolphins host the Buccaneers in a Sunshine State showdown. Ewers completed 20-of-30 passes for 260 passing yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in his start against the Bengals last week, which was enough to earn a second start this […]

TreVeyon Henderson Injury Report: Will Henderson Play in Week 17 for Fantasy Football?

In their first season under new head coach Mike Vrabel, the Patriots are back in the postseason and still in the race for the AFC East and the top seed in the AFC, which would earn them a bye week in the playoffs. One of the keys to their success has been the emergence of […]

Ka'imi Fairbairn Remains a Strong Starting Kicker on Saturday

Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn continues to regularly deliver for the Texans and his fantasy owners, so he's a strong starting option kicking indoors on Saturday afternoon against the Chargers. The 31-year-old from Hawaii made all three of his field goals last week from 55, 50, and 49 yards and also knocked through all three […]
