Zach Thompson

1302 articles

Zach has been covering fantasy sports across multiple platforms and websites since 2008, and he's been playing fantasy sports since the late 90s, when he totaled the fantasy scores from the box scores in the newspaper. He has covered a variety of sports from a fantasy perspective, including the main ones like baseball, basketball, golf, football, and hockey, while also jumping into some more exotic options like Australian Rules Football and rugby. Basically, any sport that has a fantasy format--he'll play it! Even though he grew up almost 8,000 miles away in Guam, he was raised a diehard Boston sports fan. After playing soccer competitively throughout high school and college, Zach now lives in central Massachusetts with his wife and four children. He attends as many games in as many sports as possible and has found a passion for watching minor league baseball and tracking player development. Zach specializes in finding bargain plays from obscure spots, and nothing is sweeter than when a low ownership bargain option carries your fantasy team to the win!

Draymond Green Will be Questionable for Wednesday Against the Rockets

Golden State Warriors forward/center Draymond Green (foot) will be questionable for Wednesday night's matchup against the Rockets, according to coach Steve Kerr. Green has missed two of the last three games and is currently working through a right mid-foot sprain. After he practiced on Tuesday, Kerr said Green is "definitely trending upward," which suggests he […]

Goga Bitadze Downgraded to Questionable

Orlando Magic center Goga Bitadze (ankle) was added to the injury report for Tuesday's contest against the 76ers as questionable with ankle soreness. Bitadze has played 16.8 minutes per game off the bench in his 17 games this season, chipping in 6.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game. If he's out […]

Dereck Lively II Will Miss At Least 7-10 Days

Dallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II (foot) will miss at least the next three games, since he is currently being evaluated for swelling and discomfort in his right foot. He will not be available for the team's three-game road trip against the Lakers, Clippers, and Nuggets, and a further timeline will then be given for […]

Paul George Will Not Play Tuesday against the Magic

Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George (ankle) was downgraded to out after initially being listed as probable on Tuesday night against the Orlando Magic. The 35-year-old has only played three games all season, averaging just 22.0 minutes per game and chipping in 13.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. George played three of the last four […]

Tyrese Maxey Will Play Tuesday Against the Magic

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (shoulder) was listed as probable for Tuesday's matchup against the Orlando Magic, but he was upgraded to available after shootaround. Maxey sustained a shoulder issue on Sunday against Miami, but it won't keep him off the floor on Tuesday. Without some of his big-name teammates for most of the year, […]

Joel Embiid Ruled Out Against Orlando

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) was downgraded from questionable to out for Tuesday's home game against the Orlando Magic. He will be missing an eighth straight game with a knee issue, but he does appear to be nearing a return, and his next opportunity to get back on the floor will be Friday in […]

Jalen Suggs Ready to Return Tuesday in Philadelphia

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (left knee, injury management) missed Sunday's game against the Celtics, but he'll be ready to go after not being listed on Tuesday's injury report when his Magic face the Sixers. Suggs has played 13 games this season, but the team continues to carefully monitor his workload. He has produced 14.4 […]

Adem Bona Will Not Play Tuesday Against the Magic

Philadelphia 76ers center Adem Bona (ankle) will miss Tuesday's home game against Orlando. He has missed the last four games for the Sixers, leaving more time for Andre Drummond, Dominick Barlow, and Trendon Watford at center. Joel Embiid (knee) is questionable and could take some of the minutes in the middle as well if he's […]

Buccaneers' Offense Would Have to Be Changed for Teddy Bridgewater

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater could be lined up for a start in a favorable matchup against the Cardinals this week, after an MRI revealed a low-grade AC joint sprain in Baker Mayfield's left shoulder. While there is no concern of a long-term injury, Bridgewater could fill in for this week. He completed 8-of-15 […]

Jacoby Brissett Keeps Producing as Cardinals' Starter

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett continues to put up solid numbers on a weekly basis, and he can be a solid option in deep leagues or two-quarterback formats. The veteran has thrown for over 250 yards in each of his six starts, while totaling 11 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Last week, he threw for […]

Troy Franklin a Great Waiver-Wire Addition

While Pollard got more […]

New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte returned from a two-week absence and played 80% of the team's snaps in Week 12 against the Bengals. He only had two catches on two targets for 15 yards, but he seems to be over his injury and ready to resume his role as the team's deep threat. […]

Nico Collins Has a Quiet Night in Texans' Big Win

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins was only targeted three times on Thursday Night, catching all three passes but finishing with only 55 yards. He was not targeted at all in the second half. Despite his down game, Collins' team was still able to pull out a huge win over the Bills, 23-19, to remain […]

Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis (knee) will miss at least the next three to four weeks, according to the latest from ESPN's Shams Charania. Gary Harris Added to the Injury Report as Questionable for Thursday

Milwaukee Bucks guard/forward Gary Harris returned from a hamstring injury about a week ago and was starting to work his way into the rotation. Garrison Mathews Will Join the Pacers

Free-agent guard/forward Garrison Mathews is signing a 10-day hardship contract with the Pacers, who have been decimated by injuries in the early part of the season. Keegan Murray Is Available For His Season Debut Thursday

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (thumb) does not have an injury designation for Thursday against the Grizzlies, so he should be set to make his season debut as expected. The Kings have definitely missed Murray's contributions on both ends of the floor, and he'll step right into as large a role as he is ready […]

Tyrese Maxey Listed as Probable for Thursday

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (quad) is dealing with a quad contusion but is expected to play through the issue on Thursday against the Bucks as the Sixers finish a back-to-back.
