Zach Thompson

1321 articles

Zach has been covering fantasy sports across multiple platforms and websites since 2008, and he's been playing fantasy sports since the late 90s, when he totaled the fantasy scores from the box scores in the newspaper. He has covered a variety of sports from a fantasy perspective, including the main ones like baseball, basketball, golf, football, and hockey, while also jumping into some more exotic options like Australian Rules Football and rugby. Basically, any sport that has a fantasy format--he'll play it! Even though he grew up almost 8,000 miles away in Guam, he was raised a diehard Boston sports fan. After playing soccer competitively throughout high school and college, Zach now lives in central Massachusetts with his wife and four children. He attends as many games in as many sports as possible and has found a passion for watching minor league baseball and tracking player development. Zach specializes in finding bargain plays from obscure spots, and nothing is sweeter than when a low ownership bargain option carries your fantasy team to the win!

Caris LeVert Liston as Out on Tuesday

Detroit Pistons guard/forward Caris LeVert (ankle) will not play on Tuesday when his team finishes a back-to-back on the road in Atlanta. He played just 17 minutes on Monday and had eight points and eight assists. His next chance to return will be Saturday against the Bucks. While he's out, Cade Cunningham (hip), Ausar Thompson […]

Tobias Harris Could Return Thursday

Detroit Pistons forward Tobias Harris (ankle) is nearing a return, and he was listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Hawks in Atlanta, along with Cade Cunningham (hip) and Ausar Thompson (ankle). On Monday, coach J.B. Bickerstaff said that Harris had no timetable for return, but now it looks like that timetable could be […]

Ausar Thompson Questionable Again on Tuesday

Detroit Pistons forward Ausar Thompson (ankle) has been sidelined for four straight games with an ankle sprain, but he seems to be nearing a return after moving well in Monday's shootaround before being ruled out along with Cade Cunningham (hip). Both starters are questionable for Tuesday night in Atlanta as the Pistons look to extend […]

Cade Cunningham is Questionable Tuesday in Atlanta

Detroit Pistons point guard Cade Cunningham (hip) has missed the last three games for his team, which has stayed hot in his absence, extending their winning streak to 10 games by beating the Pacers on Monday. Cunningham could return for the second game of the back-to-back, and if he does, he'll probably resume his heavy […]

Shedeur Sanders Worth a Look on the Waiver Wire?

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders made his long-awaited NFL debut on Sunday against the Ravens, but the rookie struggled mightily, completing only four of his 16 pass attempts for 47 yards with an interception and adding three rushing attempts for 16 yards. With starter Dillon Gabriel working through the concussion protocol, Sanders should get most […]

Brock Wright Sets Career-High in Targets; Lined Up for More Work?

Detroit Lions tight end Brock Wright was targeted seven times on Sunday night against the Eagles, but he only hauled in two catches for eight yards. It was a new career-high for the veteran in his fifth season out of Notre Dame. Wright was in a bigger role with SamLaPorta (back) on IR, and he […]

Does Brandon Aiyuk Make a Good Waiver-Wire Stash?

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (knee) is over a year removed from his injury and should be nearing a return based on the team's expectations coming into the season. However, he still hasn't had his 21-day practice window opened, and that won't happen this week, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. While he's […]

Is Blake Corum Getting Enough Opportunities?

Los Angeles Rams running back Blake Corum continues to get significant opportunities in the team's rushing game, and he can be a deep-league addition if you're looking for running back options on the waiver wire. Corum only had 10 rushing yards in Week 11 against the Seahawks, but he still did get eight carries while […]

Should You Add Jaleel McLaughlin in His Growing Role?

Denver Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin should be in a key timeshare for the surging Broncos for the next several weeks after the significant injury to J.K. Dobbins (foot). McLaughlin had only been active for one game and had just one carry all season until last week against the Chiefs, when he took six carries […]

Christian Watson Is a Great Grab from the Waiver Wire

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson could be set up for a few weeks as the team's top pass-catcher before the potential return of Jayden Reed (collarbone/foot) from IR. In his growing role, he makes a nice addition if he's on the waiver wire in your leagues. The fourth-year receiver from North Dakota State […]

Is Jayden Higgins Now the Texans Second Receiver?

Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins finished second on the team with 55 receiving yards on Sunday against the Titans, hauling in four of his seven targets. The rookie played 43 snaps compared to 37 for Xavier Hutchinson and 36 for Christian Kirk, getting slightly more work than the two more experienced options. Higgins also […]

Dalton Schultz Continues Strong PPR Production

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz remains a PPR stalwart, hauling in six passes on nine targets for 51 yards in Sunday's win over the Titans. Schultz was second on the team in targets and catches behind only Nico Collins, and he has at least five catches in seven of his last eight games. His […]

Woody Marks Serves as Texans' Lead Back in Week 11

Houston Texans running back Woody Marks played 66% of snaps in Sunday's win over the Titans, compared to just 26% for Nick Chubb. The rookie seems to be taking over as the team's lead option in the backfield, but this week, he only managed 44 rushing yards on his 18 carries while adding a seven-yard […]

NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (11/17/25)

Welcome back, RotoBallers! The NBA has eight games on the scoreboard to tip off the new work week. Four of the 16 teams in action are playing for the second day in a row, and the Pistons are the only team on the front half of their back-to-back. The main slate on FanDuel includes all […]

Greg Dulcich and Julian Hill Split Snaps in Madrid

Miami Dolphins tight end Greg Dulcich finished third on the team with four targets against the Commanders. He hauled in just two catches for 18 yards in a quiet day for the offense, but he remained the team's primary pass-catcher at the position. Dulcich played 54% of the team's offensive snaps, while Julian Hill played […]

Jaylen Waddle has a Down Week Before his Bye

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has been emerging as a regular starter and high-end WR2 since the season-ending injury to Tyreek Hill (knee). He has clearly established himself as the top target in the Dolphins' passing game, and before Sunday, he had posted at least five catches in five of his previous six games. […]

Giannis Antetokounmpo - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineups

NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (11/15/25)

Welcome back, RotoBallers! We have a four-game slate in the NBA ready to tip off this Saturday night with some very fun matchups on the board. The early game in Cleveland isn't on the main slate on DraftKings or FanDuel, with both slates locking at 7:00 p.m. ET. The busy week has already been stuffed […]

Dalton Schultz a Borderline Starter in Week 11

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz has been a key PPR contributor this season, and he's a fringe starting option this week against the Titans. The veteran missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday with a shoulder injury, but he does not have an injury designation coming into Week 11. He found the end zone for […]

Rookie Jaylin Noel Finding a Role in Houston

Houston Texans wide receiver Jaylin Noel caught all four of his targets for a total of 35 yards last week against the Jaguars, but his role this week against the Titans remains uncertain. The rookie had at least four catches in three of his four games since the bye week, and he outperformed veteran Christian […]

Christian Kirk Fading in Houston?

Houston Texans wide receiver Christian Kirk had one of his quietest games of the season last week, despite the Texans airing it out in their comeback win over the Jaguars. Kirk finished with just one catch for three yards on three targets from Davis Mills, who was starting in place of C.J. Stroud (concussion). Mills […]

Jayden Higgins is a Shaky Option in Week 11

Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins is coming off a career-high five catches last week, when he played the second-most snaps on the team at receiver behind only Nico Collins. He hauled in five catches for 42 yards and his third touchdown of the season. The rookie seems to be settling in as the team's […]

Nico Collins Still a Strong Start with a Backup QB?

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins is a good play this week against the Titans, even though he won't have C.J. Stroud (concussion) throwing him the ball, which causes him to slide out of the top 10 in the rankings. Collins had a massive week last week while working with backup Davis Mills, catching seven […]

Nick Chubb Could Find Room to Run Against the Titans

Houston Texans running back Nick Chubb is a touchdown-dependent flex option against the Titans in Week 11, since the Titans have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs this season. Chubb only played 10 snaps and had five carries against the Jaguars last week since the game script called for the Texans to go […]

Woody Marks Is In a Favorable Matchup in Tennessee

Houston Texans running back Woody Marks is a decent RB2 and an excellent flex play this week in his rematch with the Titans. In Week 4, he went off for a huge game in his first game against this division foe, racking up 69 rushing yards on 17 carries and adding 50 receiving yards on […]

Davis Mills Set to Start in Tennessee in Week 11

Houston Texans quarterback Davis Mills will make his second straight start for the team in Week 11 when they visit the Titans, since C.J. Stroud (concussion) will miss a second straight contest. Last week, Mills led the team to a big comeback win in Week 10 over the Jaguars by running for the game-winning touchdown […]

Dolphins D/ST a Fringe Starting Option in Week 11

The Miami Dolphins defense had a big game last week against the Bills, and they are in a good matchup in Spain this Sunday morning. The Commanders will have Marcus Mariota starting in place of Jayden Daniels and will also be without receivers Terry McLaurin (quad) and Luke McCaffrey (collarbone). The Dolphins matched their season-high […]

Greg Dulcich a Long-Shot Play in Week 11

Miami Dolphins tight end Greg Dulcich has taken over as the team's primary receiving tight end with Darren Waller (pectoral) on IR and Julian Hill (ankle) missing the last three weeks. Even with Hill ready to return this week, Dulcich should stay involved. Dulcich caught five passes on five targets for 49 yards in Week […]

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine Not Involved Despite Plenty of Snaps

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has played a lot of snaps since the injury to Tyreek Hill (knee), but he hasn't turned that into much production. His snap share also dropped a little bit last week against the Bills, even though he still played 47% of snaps, the second-most of any receiver on the […]

Is Malik Washington Worth a Look as a Sleeper?

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington found the end zone for the second time in the last three weeks on Sunday against the Bills, and he caught multiple passes for the eighth week in a row. He has a good matchup against the Commanders this week, but his yardage totals have been underwhelming in the […]
