Jarlin Susana Activated from Double-A Injured List
Jarlin Susana (elbow) has been activated from Double-A Harrisburg's 7-day injured list. The Nats' second-ranked prospect (MLB No. 48) was placed on the IL back in May with a UCL sprain, but has completed a three-game rehab assignment at High-A. The 21-year-old posted a 4.15 ERA, 1.69 WHIP, and a 14.8 percent K-BB% in six starts for the Senators before going down with the injury, but looked very sharp in his rehab, recording a 3.00 ERA (0.55 FIP), 0.89 WHIP, and an elite 38.9 percent K-BB%. The 6-foot-6 hurler struck out 157 batters in 103 2/2 innings pitched in 2024, but struggles with control, owning a 12.2 percent walk rate in his minor-league career. The righty should debut in the majors next year, but if the walks don't come down, he could find himself in the bullpen.
