Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks
Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back Bhayshul Tuten (ankle) was limited in practice all week but was cleared from Friday's final injury report and will be active in Week 12 against the hosting Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco. Travis Etienne Jr. (shoulder) was limited all week, too, but he has also been cleared. The 23-year-old Tuten had a career-high 15 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Chargers, with his increased usage potentially having something to do with Etienne's shoulder injury.
Fantasy managers want to know if Tuten's elevated workload from last weekend will continue. It remains to be seen, but the Jags figure to lean heavily on the ground game again in an excellent matchup against Arizona. Tuten should be viewed as an explosive, upside RB3/flex as he looks to stack two straight strong games.
Kareem Hunt, RB, Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt will face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12. Hunt handled 13 carries for 59 yards and a touchdown, along with one catch for three yards. His 59 rushing yards were a season-high, and his 13 carries tied his season-high. With Isiah Pacheco out this week, Hunt was the only back to get any rushing work. Rookie Brashard Smith was relatively uninvolved in the contest, only catching two passes for eight yards.
With Pacheco ruled out again for Week 12, Hunt should dominate touches against Indianapolis. The Colts' defense has been an average matchup for fantasy running backs this season, but the scoring potential makes Hunt an interesting play. The Colts' offense is the highest-scoring in the league, and this game has a nearly 50-point projected total, meaning that Hunt could visit the end zone once or twice. Hunt should be viewed as a viable RB2 with upside in Week 12.
Roman Wilson, WR, Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Roman Wilson has seen an uptick in playing time recently and could surprise against the Chicago Bears in Week 12. This is a great matchup for Wilson, with Chicago surrendering the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing receivers this season. It's unclear at this point if Aaron Rodgers (wrist) will be ready to play on Sunday, but it's worth noting that Wilson's lone reception last Sunday came on a pass from backup quarterback Mason Rudolph.
Although the second-year pro hasn't yet established himself as a consistent threat, he has been operating ahead of Calvin Austin III as Pittsburgh's WR2 and has flashed the talent to potentially break out down the stretch. He's not a viable option in the majority of redraft formats just yet, but Wilson can be viewed as a boom-or-bust flex play in deep leagues and an intriguing stash in dynasty.
Jayden Reed, WR, Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (collarbone, foot) returned to practice on Friday (he was limited). Still, he will not come off Injured Reserve and has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings in Week 12. The 25-year-old has been on IR since breaking his collarbone back in Week 2, and he's also been recovering from surgery to fix a Jones fracture in his foot.
It might be a few weeks before we see Reed back on game day, as it seems unlikely he'll be able to make his way back in a quick turnaround next week on Thanksgiving Day versus the Detroit Lions on Thursday. A more realistic target date will probably be for the team's Week 14 clash against the division-rival Chicago Bears. Even though Reed might not be up to speed until the fantasy playoffs (Weeks 15-17 in most leagues), his touchdown prowess (18 TDs in 35 games) makes him stash-worthy in fantasy leagues until then.
Christian Watson, WR, Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson was very productive last Sunday and looks to keep that run going when the Packers welcome the Minnesota Vikings for an NFC North divisional showdown in Week 12. Watson scored two touchdowns and caught 4-of-5 targets for 46 yards in the Packers' win against the New York Giants.
With Watson running at least 80 percent of routes per dropback in his last two games, he is fully entrenched as a top-two target on this Packers team. Also worth noting is Watson leading the Packers in first-read target share (33.3 percent) and first downs (4), so there has been intent to get Watson involved with target-earning as well. With Watson facing the Minnesota Vikings, Watson is a solid flex play with plenty of upside in Week 12.
