Paul DeJong Looking to Follow Up an Impressive Rookie Season
7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong had an impressive rookie season in 2017 and will look to build on that for 2018. DeJong hit .285/.325/.532 with 25 home runs and 65 RBI in just 108 games. DeJong played strong defense too, leading to a 3.0 fWAR despite the limited opportunities. With a full season in 2018, DeJong could put up legitimate top-5 shortstop numbers if he can stay healthy. He's a strong contributor in four-of-five fantasy categories, and might be underdrafted this coming season because of a lack of nationwide name recognition. Savvy fantasy owners should look out for DeJong in the middle rounds.
